I’m going to the Snippets Playground Jubilee Party,
do join in if you can, there’s cocktails, scones, trifle, jelly and fabulous prizes!
I’ve made this card using lots of snippets, so I’ll be allowed through the gates…
I saw this technique on Stampin' Up! Facebook page, and thought it was perfect for my snippets card.
Take leftover strips of paper and glue them diagonally on scrap paper or card. Then cut that whole piece into four, and turn every other strip, so the original pattern is broken.
Hopefully the pictures will explain better than I can!
I used Hues of Happiness papers, then die cut a vellum circle, adding the sentiment on a smaller circle.
Another tip was shared, where you draw over a word with a blend pen,
to highlight it, using the blunt tip.
I added a few pearls to finish.
I do hope to see you over at the Snippets Playground,
and may you enjoy the Jubilee weekend wherever you are!

What a great way of using up odd strips of DSP, very effective. Enjoy the celebrations
ReplyDeleteWow - thanks for sharing that fab technique for using up snippets. Very effective. Good idea about the blender pen too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you’re coming to the Jubilee Party at the Playground. It’ll be fun. Just stay off the roundabout after a few cocktails!!! Xxx
Oh my gosh - this is stunning Lesley! It's reminiscent of Bargello - a tapestry technique. I totally love this card. Need to make a Birthday card for Len's g'nephew and may well dig out my pack of 'masculine' papers and give this a whirl!
