Enjoy today…

 Hi there, how are you?

I’ve been struggling a bit with life, and have not been crafting for a few weeks,

but it’s nice to be easing back into it with the incentive of a new challenge for ATC’s and Tags.

I’ve had a new-to-me set waiting to be played with,  “Beach Days” from SU……

Brenda shared how to make a pocket, which you can see HERE,
she shares some beautiful artwork too.
My pocket is made with some old SU paper.

The ball on the ATC is about to flatten the sandcastle!
It’s strategically placed to cover an inky smudge 😂

I hope you enjoy today, and get some inspiration from this fab new challenge

Tag-Along (and ATC's)

I’m also popping over to

NBUS Challenge #74

Snippets Playground #506 (lots of white card snippets and snippet of paper)

My brother in law has Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia, and has sadly been admitted to a care home, after being cared for so well by my sister. I’m sure some of you can empathise.
Then my neighbours, without warning, submitted a Planning Application for a massive 5 bed house right next to our southern boundary, which would impact our privacy and daylight. We’re just hoping it will not get approval. It’s so sad our countryside is being devastated by all the house building everywhere.
I know there’s some of you that have been struggling with so much more, so hugs to you.
I’m grateful to be among so many caring crafters.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments.

Take care and see you soon

Lesley

The proposed house would be where those tall dark trees are at the back 😢

  1. I'm very sorry to hear that things aren't so good for you at present and hope things improve soon. Fingers crossed that the proposed building doesn't get planning approval. That's a lovely summery ATC and I'd never have guessed the beach ball was hiding a secret 🤣🤣. It certainly looks as if it's meant to be there. Take care xx

  2. Fabulous ATC and pocket made with snippets.
Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse shortly. It sounds like you need an extra strong glass of "lemonade" to me!

I am keeping everything crossed that your beautiful garden stays just like it is and does not become overlooked by an unnecessary monstrosity. xxx

  3. Life can be a bitch sometimes Lesley and hits us out of the blue. Had a pretty harrowing week here as well so really can sympathise how difficult getting your head into craft can be sometimes.

Can empathise with your BIL's health, one my my close Cousins had the same and it was so sad to watch, he went downhill very fast and also had to go into care as his partner was unable to cope in the end. That makes it very tough for everyone around him.

Let's move onto your ATC and little pocket, so pleased the instructions made sense and really like your cheery beach themes pair. So pleased to see you at Tag-Along (and ATC's) challenge, thanks so much for your support and joining us.

  4. It looks like you live in a grand park, Lesley! It's utterly gorgeous! I'm sorry about the planned build and about your BIL's decline. Hugs to you and your sister.

I hope getting crafty took you away from it all for a while. You certainly made a terrific beachy ATC and pocket! And I love your imagination ~ that beach ball is genius!! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

  7. Hi Lesley
A really lovely little ATC and pocket .. .. perhaps you need to go and sit on that beach, in that chair, and have a good old chill.
It sounds like you have got lots going on in your life.
My Mum has the same as your brother-in-law (hence why I am with her so much). It certainly isn't easy seeing someone you love going through this, and you worry about them all of the time.
Will keep my fingers crossed that the planning permission doesn't go ahead! Your garden is stunning!!
    Love and hugs
    Jules xx

  8. Fabulous ATC and holder Lesley - just right for a lovely sandy beach I know of! I do so hope your neighbour doesn't get planning permission - right in your line of vision down that gorgeous garden. Why on earth don't they build a bungalow if they really need to build right there? And, not to say anything beforehand is cowardly - they knew exactly what they were doing! Hops down from soap box!
    Hugs
    Di xx
