Stamping Sensations is asking for our favourite stamps,
and I’m sure I can’t be the only one who finds this difficult 😃.
I have a few favourite sentiments, but my favourite stamps tend to be new ones 😂
This is a new to me stamp and die set from SU, Fragrant Layers.
I watched a video by Sara Sayers (KissKreative) just after I’d bought it, and I’ve been hooked since!
I got more inspiration from other SU demonstrators such as Patty Bennett.
For today I’m just sharing one of my cards which started off as a mishap….
I cut a card blank, then scored it in the wrong place….it then stayed on the side for a while.
Whilst playing with this set I was using all sorts of colours.
This flower spray was stamped with my Stamparatus then coloured using the infill stamp.
I then stamped the individual flower stamp several times and fussy cut them.
Here’s just some of the many snippets….nothing wasted here!
I layered them on top of the spray , stamped the sentiment and dots (tiny stamp in the same set),
and added some gems.
I then took it to my paper stash and found a sheet that complimented, and also solved my card blank error!
I cut it to fit the inside and was still able to stamp a readable sentiment inside.
I may start using my subtle older papers inside, as a way of making space for new ones 😉
I could not believe how many different looks you can get from this set,
and I fear I might bore you with it.
It’s certainly my favourite at the moment,
Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments
Take care and see you soon

I will NEVER be bored of pretty floral cards like this Lesley, I assure you! I love this “happy accident” card. Great idea about using papers up in side your cards too. . . food for thought xxx
ReplyDeleteOh where are my manners? THANK YOU for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you for coffee and crumpets in the treehouse later xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and layered flowers-a happy accident but great idea using the papers inside -noted-though whether I will remember remains to be seen lol.

A beautiful design with your lovely flower stamps, love the layered flowers and a great idea to rectify your scoring error with that perfectly matched dp inside the card.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Stamping Sensations.

I agree. It is difficult to pick a favorite stamp. Your card is lovely. I love the yellow dots you added to it. I don't own anything SU but if I was to pick I'd get this because I see that they make a die set to match. I am one of those that detest fussy cutting. The set looks like it's going to be fun to make different arrangements with. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteNo your not alone choosing a favourite stamp Lesley, when we have that theme I always think that past is a challenge on it's own. But the one you decided on is very pretty and layered up the flowers look lovely. Many thanks for sharing a favourite stamp with us at Stamping Sensations challenge.

Favourite stamp - yes that's a difficult one and something I feel changes almost daily and especially when something new comes along. This is indeed a very pretty set and looks versatile which is always good.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card made more special with your 'happy accident'.
