February Rudolph Day Challenge

A determination to get ahead with my christmas cards this year,

I'm joining the Rudolph Day Challenge, a monthly event on 25th of each month.

(yes, a tad late 😄😄, but you know what they say....better late than never. )

A never before used die won in Pixie's Crafty Workshop, (thanks Di )
a lovely frame with the die cut words attached.
As all my elements are using never before used stuff, (schtuff), I can also enter this challenge.....

I decided to build a small scene, with fir trees, and a teeny deer.
The photos show the imperfections on the gold foil card, but it's not so bad in real life.

I added a few gems for sparkle, then added touches of wink of stella.

We had a lovely bike ride today in the sunshine at our favourite place on Romney Marsh.
A much needed tonic, even saw some new born lambs......ahhhhh.

Have a good weekend

Wide Short cards

Hello

There's a bit of a trend for slimline cards, so I'm sharing a couple using

Love You Always designer series paper.

I love how you can fussy cut even the flowers at the edges.
I'm popping over to the Snippets Playground ,
as I've used snippets of paper.

Hey Birthday Chick

I'm sharing the new chick bundles with the frame from the Peek-a-Hoot Dies.

The cut-outs are tags that can be used later.

I didn't think these chicks would be my thing,
but they have made me smile among all the gloom.

They are so easy to colour....any colour you like,
there's no rules with chickens!
The sentiments are fun too.

This is for a special Birthday, and I noticed this Allsorts Challenge...

Week 6️⃣1️⃣2️⃣ Anything Goes with add a Number option.

....and Addicted to Stamps challenge...

Have a Happy Day!

Is it possible to have too much fun?!

Some of my SU parcels have been delayed, but I was cheered up to receive my latest one,
that included these cute chicks!
Hey Chick has been re-released, but Hey Birthday Chick, and two sets of dies are brand new.

There are just so many fun elements to play with!
Can you see the cute chicken house?

I've been using lots of Snippets, as you can see below,

so I'll be popping over to the Snippets Playground, in memory of this little darling dog, Ruby...

I used one of the die cuts as a stencil (above top left), using my new blending brushes,
to make my background, so I'm entering this challenge .........

There's also another celebration going on at Uniko Studio here.....where we can share our birthday cards

Lastly, the main inspiration for this card was from here....
I also did some fussy cutting for this card......some teeny tiny stuff!
I put a penny in the picture to show you how small.....
and I cut the hat and shell out twice, so they stood out, but without foam pads,
true dedication or what?!

Then (if you're still reading ) I die cut with a stitched border,
then decided to ink the edges..........you know when you get to the final bit....and.....
yep the ink went a bit slopdgier (not sure that's a word) than hoped!
Hey ho, it's all a bit of fun eh!

Have a Happy Day

Scrappy Strips

Hello again.....I think I'm a bit addicted to challenges at the moment!

So I'm sharing two cards and two challenges........go on.........have a go!

Tall slim card, using some of those left over strips you get....you do don't you?!
And......some left over bits from the edges of that True Love paper.

Added some sequins, and entered this.......(I flipped it)

Secondly.......dug out a whole load of different colour strips and glued these horizontally.
The great thing about SU, is all the colours blend, and this is a riot!

Added some die cut butterflies and a die cut frond,
kindly donated eeeeeeeons ago!
Hmmmmm that's another thing I'm doing...........using up those bits!........
you know, the ones you keep because you can't throw them out!

Then I entered my rainbow here.........

Go on...........have a go!!

Christmas Gleaming with berries

Today is another christmas card..........also inspired by some blog challenges.

Using the Christmas Gleaming set ........I think it's still available...

A design by Mary Fish helped with the layout.
I coloured the holly and berries with blender pens,
and added some "wonderful gems", and some gold twine.

I'm entering the following.........
(Please visit this one it is very special.........)

and this one........
where there's some challenges to suit everyone

The snow is still falling gently....
which means more crafty time!

Snailed It along the wall

I've been playing with Snailed It, and entering a couple of challenges,

which are great because they can give you inspiration if you don't know where to start.

The first challenge was this ......

I decided to use the brick wall stencil and blending brushes to create a small background pattern,
and the paper piecing is also patterned.

The colour choices were from.......
Just Jade was my card base, and fussy cut parcels, and the other two colours
were paper pieced for the snail, and I used the Poppy stampin' write marker pen to colour the stripes

I added a bit of wink of stella on the body.

I hope it's made you smile today :)
