more swaps

Thought you might like to see the other swaps I made....
Here's a better close-up
I made two lots, because my friend didn't have time to make any,
and I didn't want her to miss out!

Thought you might like to see ONE of the swaps I made
for our Training day recently....
They look simple....and they are!
Using Merry Minis punch pack from Stampin' Up!,
some of the frosted ink,
and Tiny Tags stamps...because I didn't have the matching ones then!
Here's the same at a jaunty angle....
still don't get this photography malarkey yet!
This is only ONE of the punches though.....
I'll show you the others later....

My new shoes.....

Who needs jimmy choos, when you can have a cute pair like this?!
This is my first attempt at crochet baby shoes......
I used some variegated wool I had spare,
but I think they'll be better in plain.
Just need to 'borrow' my mum's bright red now,
for those dorothy/darcie slippers....

Pretty Place mats

I dusted off my laminator recently,
it is useful for protecting so many things.
I'd seen somewhere, the idea of making my own place mats,
that can also be used for anything mucky! as they will hopefully wipe clean!
I used Stampin' Up! Twitterpated papers, which are so, so pretty....

I will probably use them when my crafty friends come to play!
It's also given me lots of ideas for xmas, and when little ones visit,
and maybe would look good with a collage of pics, or photos......
hmmmm could always leave the housework for another day....again!

How I struggled with this one!
For a special person, who's age I did not mention!
But I know she's been deservingly spoilt on her birthday.....
I wanted to use the Apothecary stamp set,
and the lovely, softly distressed everyday enchantment paper,
along with the framelits labels dies,
but had a struggle with the layout,
until I hit on the idea of cutting a larger frame from the paper,
and in-laying the topper.
Still a novice with the photography....
this is without the shadows, and not sure yet, which I prefer!
Anyway, the ribbons don't show their sparkle here,
and you probably didn't notice the 3 little flowers
I lovingly cut out from the paper either!

Happy Birthday '2' Oliver!

Hello, hope you are well....
A little one to share....
I was lucky enough to spend the day at "Drusillas" with my nephew and lovely family recently,
and I bought a pack of "Thomas" 3-D stickers....
which was how I was inspired for this simple one
for another lovely nephew...
is there hope yet, for me doing "clean and simple" ?!
thanks for looking!

The Open Sea

Hi there!
Just a quick post to share a card I managed to make for my lovely neighbour.
It's all been a bit mad, so am struggling to make my cards on time, for the first time ever!
This is the currently popular triple layer stamping....
it's easy, when you know how!
Join one of my classes to find out more!
The Open Sea stamp set from Stampin' Up! is still one of my favourites.
There's not many options for men's cards, but you can adapt this set to suit most men!
Hope you are able to enjoy our late summer!

Midsummer madness....

I did some gardening this morning, as a bit of a respite from all things Stampin' Up!
I love it really, but it is a bit mad at the moment, there is so much to do!
(that goes for SU and the garden!)
So I thought I would share some pics that are not about cards for a change!

It's a shame they don't appear as 'hot' as they are in real life....

There's a bumble bee here somewhere.....
(hmmmm .....peach parfait, calypso coral and daffodil delight maybe!)

I love the way the little individual flowers hang and droop on this pretty...
it's like a little star burst...
(primrose petals and raspberry ripple maybe!)

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Feathered friends!

I buy my wild bird food at Feathers Wild Bird Care in Salehurst,
and I thought I'd share this picture with you,
just to buy get one free!

I buy their Sunflower seeds, (which are great value!),
and as a bonus, I have a small happy little family of sunflowers in my garden!

If you like our feathered friends, I recommend you visit Allan and Joe,
who are not only handsome and funny (you can pay me later boys!),
but they have a fantastic range of products, and their prices are amazing too!
Check out their website, and sign up for their entertaining newsletter.
They also have some fab photos, some of which are taken from their nature reserve,
which you can visit for free whilst you're there!

They have started to sell some cute little gifts too,
of which I know Allan is a particular fan of! lol x
Check out this adorable key-ring!

This only started off as a quick post to show a snippet of summer,
and it's turned into an advert!
Oh well, they are lovely guys, and their enthusiasm for wild birds is inspiring!
