A little dear in the pink plus THAT star

Another Christmas card inspired by the Aspen dies from SU.

Its another from that paper pack!

I used a delicate pink cardstock to compliment the paper,
and positioned it to show him peeking through the trees.

It doesn’t show, but the trees are cut from velvet white paper, so so soft.

I think that is all the papers used and shared?

Do you remember this….

Finally found a star…stamped one….die cut one… and added one of the new SU metallic ones.

Bridge fold snowmie

Today is a bridge fold with that lovely paper…..

Do make sure you visit SU and look up Online Exclusives.

Even if you get/look at a catalogue, there’s more online, including the Clearance Rack.

It gets constantly updated, and there’s new kits too.

This bridge fold uses almost the whole 6x6 sheet.
I added a die cut from PPCrafts for the snow hill.

And a cute snow person , which I ended up partly fussing cutting (long story 😂🙄).
Glittered a few bits, and used a gifted sentiment from a Clarity sheet.

I’m taking this over to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge #78

Cut a die in half

I’m back again, with another version of the Gorgeous Garden dies,

this is another tip I found to give your dies a different look.

I cut it into two pieces by following the design, to give me a section for my stamped sentiment.

You can also cut it to make borders, and even individual flowers to add extra decoration.

These dies made some super simple but elegant cards.
I hope you’ll have a look at your own dies, and come up with different ideas 😃

I’m entering the Allsorts Challenge Blog, that’s all about dies.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Gorgeous Garden flowers

As promised, here’s the floral die in the Gorgeous Garden set.

This time the background is a Designer Series Paper.

This is also my first tip…

It’s a full background die, but my cutting machine is getting very old, like me 😂
and it didn’t cut the whole piece properly.
Instead of discarding it, I added an oval die cut topper, which hides the flaw.

It gives your die a different look.
I also used the waste from another die cut for the white stamens,
another tip I found.

I added a few sentiments to finish.
Catch you later for my third version…..

Gorgeous Garden leaves

There’s a die set in the annual SU catalogue that I overlooked until I saw someone use it.
There are two background dies, one with leaves and one with flowers.
The detail is as the name suggests, Gorgeous Garden.

Loved make the background on this, with Blending brushes.

With the offcuts I die cut some leaves that emboss detail at the same time.

Added my favourite tiny tag, and a twine bow

Come back tomorrow for the floral version and a couple of tips!

Meantime I’m popping over to NBUS , a place that encourages you to use your never before used stash,
as it’s the first time I’ve used this die set.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Crumb cake Rose and a coneflower

Today I’m sharing another two cards using the Worn Trellis …

I cut the rose in green, then just the flower head from a snippet of pink.

I had a leftover strip of crumb cake….be rude not to use it 😉

Then revisited the Coneflower…..managed to get it the right way up this time 😂

Ummmmmed and Rrrrrrrrrred over the vase, added some ink to its edges..
what do you think……with or without?

Have a good day, join me if you can over at the
for another super prize!

Goats on the horizon

Some cards really make me smile…..

a lovely neighbour likes watching the goats in the field opposite our houses

I used a background paper and lots of bits from On the Horizon

Fussy cut the goats……they often climb on top of their hut and ramps etc…
and obviously they ate the cake 😂

And he loved it….phew!
