Colorful Seasons

Hello again, hope this finds you well.
I needed a card for a neighbour who loves his garden, used to be our Footpath Officer,
and loves everything to do with the garden, sometimes relaxing with a glass of wine :)

I had an idea in my head.....didn't work out quite as planned (does it ever?),
but ran out of time to redo/make another, so here's the "how"....

I stamped the wall & gate from Cozy Cottage....
added the path using marker pens to ink the bits I needed.
The deckchair from Colorful Seasons was next (american spelling)......fussy cut the canvas of the chair, then made a drink ......(luckily there's a wee die) .
Used the marker pen to add bits of the grass from Cozy Cottage,
adding the longer grass from Wetlands in the same way.

My perspective is suspect, probably should have added some sky instead of the sheer hill lol,
but I just wanted to show how you can use bits from sets to make up a personalised picture.

He will of course have no idea how difficult it was, so I just hope he appreciates
I made an effort and that it was at least hand made :)

  1. Obviously I don't know what you had in mind but the resulting card looks fab. Love the deckchair idea. Hugs Mrs A.

  2. I'll echo Mrs. A...I think the card looks great! I love that you've kept the mono-color scheme except for the pop of canvas on the chair. I think your gardening friend will be really pleased with this card too, and I also like it could be used for either gender! Well done. TFS & have a good weekend.

  3. Looks good to me mate! I NEVER do scenic cards as I can NEVER get the right perspective . . . but yours looks fine to me. All hand made cards are made with love and anyone receiving one should appreciate that alone!!!!

    Have a great weekend. xxx
