Musical Mice

Hi crafty friends, I’ve managed a couple more Christmas cards,

inspired by some blog challenges.

I tried my brayer on the embossing folder, not totally successful…bit patchy.

I cut a mask so I could tier the single tree to make a taller one.

I altered the die cut shape, by moving it and cutting off the top.

Added some ribbon to reflect the sketch challenges, and some adhesive gems. Coloured with Blender pens

The next one I used a blending brush to add some ink to the embossing.

I fussy cut 3 trees to make one taller one…..(which do you prefer?)

Here’s what I used

Added some “grounding” ink

Below you can see the single small tree…..too small imho.

I used lots of white snippets for the mice, trees and greeting, and a blue snippet for the first mat.

Challenges entered:

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

  2. Two super cute cards with the singing mice and some clever work with the tree and also the die cutting. I would find it difficult to choose between them and they cover the challenges perfectly 😉

  3. Two sweet Christmas cards here Lesley. My preference is for the first one but only because I like the taller tree.

Thanks for entering a piece of homework to the Snippets Playground. Breakfast Club croissants beckon!!! X

  4. You are clever to have grown that tree Lesley! Love these kind of shenanigans as it makes our stash go further :) Both cards are lovely but I prefer the blue background for a winter card. Enjoy the sunshine while it's still summer! Vicky xxx

  5. Clever stuff Lesley! I'm slightly with Sarn, the taller tree just has the edge but both cards are really adorable. You have the patience of a saint!
