Smile…

 Yes, it’s yet another eclipse card…sorry 😂,

this time another much loved old SU set, and paper background.

It looks more like outer space than sky, but I love the paper so much.
The large letter word just fits, the balloons and cloud stamped and die cut.
Another one for the box.

Go on then…SMILE 😃

Celebrate you…

Another gender neutral card using the eclipse technique…

(yes I do sometimes get obsessed with a technique or set, but I think this hidden word idea is so useful).

The paper is a much loved old SU set of papers…..there is a new kid on the block with some wood designs, …..Country Woods.

Another old SU word die and some resin dots add a little detail to a very simple card

Have a great day

June Rudolph Day

It’s the 25th of the month again….Rudolph Challenge Day!

In a bid to get ahead I’m using up some SU foiled card blanks.
This one uses a Gummiapan die from last years advent calendar.
I added some colour and stamped and die cut a sentiment for the truck to drive on 😃.

Another one for the box, and time to enter the Rudolph Days Challenge!

Golfing Brother

Continuing the golf theme from yesterday,

here’s one using some old SU paper and the eclipse technique.

You may have to zoom in to see the word brother, the paper is so busy it’s camouflaged well,
I hope you don’t get googly eyed!
I put three golf ball candy dots alongside it…

An old much loved SU set was used to stamp and die cut the details.

Have a great day

All zipped up

I used some old SU papers for this special card.

We all know how hard men’s cards can be…..

my Nephew plays golf, but I’ve made so many golf versions I wanted something different this time.

I bought this Gummiapan die a little while ago, no idea how to use it, and only one picture on Google,
So a bit of trial and error, studying zips I had at home, I came up with this.
If anyone has any constructive suggestions I’d be happy to hear them.

I added the number one from an old SU golfing set to finish it off.
It’s a very clever zip die, the teeth match up, the piece to “pull” is separate and realistic.
I used brushed silver card, and cream for the “material” that you’d sew in.
It surprised me how many types of zips there are…take a look at your clothes, bags etc!

I’m taking this to MyNBUS as it’s the first time I’ve used the zip die.

Have a great day

Hidden birthday

 Hello crafty peeps,

I’ve been using a technique called eclipse or hidden word.

I’ve used one of the many fabulous SU background papers,
and the alphabet, word, balloons and twine are all old SU too.
I added sequins to the balloons for a bit of shine.

It’s quite simple if you haven’t tried it, just cut your words, plus extra ones,
Layer them up, including the small bits, lots of videos etc out there if you want more details.

Have a great day

Disco diva

Hi there crafty friends, hope all is well with you.

Today I’m sharing a card that started as an eclipse technique (more on that another day),

but the word die slipped (operator error 😂), so I cut another layered one to cover it up.

Has that ever happened to you? 🧐

I then added lots of diecuts to the background paper, for a disco party theme.

All Snippets were used for the die cuts…..scraps of black, white, sparkly and shiny,

but again I forgot to take a picture of my scraps, so I hope Miss Di let’s me into the…

Snippets Playground #482, where she has another fabulous prize on offer,
I’ll race you to the swings…..!
Sarn might have some ice cream left too 😉, if you’re quick!

Let it snow…

I’m popping by today with another Christmas card…..

I’m already 10 behind my target, so some quick ones needed…

A new Uniko set has been sitting patiently on my desk…
so a quick stamped background, plus a quick stamped topper,
layered up (times two, and centres gutted) on some shiny mirror card,
plus some die cut snowflakes, cut from the gutted pieces,
all in all 5 layers.

Entering……
Allsorts challenge #783 lots of layers (I have 5)
Peace on Earth #65
Colourful options for June, Aqua
MyNBUS#63, first time with this set, and the paper pack.

Hope you’ve had a good weekend

Saturday 1 June 2024

I’ve a few today…..with lots of oops!

Hi there, I’ve a few to share today….this is my favourite,

as I did have some problems along the way….

You can see I was a bit off the mark stamping the infill..

Here was another attempt which wasn’t much better.

I did finish them off because it created an unintended highlight.

I even tried stamping the infill before the outline, still not much better.
Maybe the light wasn’t good, and I know my eyes are getting worse. (cataracts)

The next one was my least favourite, even my fussy cutting wasn’t good.
I was probably rushing it too, as time was short.

Enjoyed using up some old foiled plaid papers…

I’m hoping someone will appreciate them!

Have a great weekend
