Alan's feeling better......

....so thought I'd better do some catching up....
Thought I'd share a 'negative punch' card to give you some ideas....
I embossed some Melon Mambo with Vintage Wallpaper,
then punched out the Posy, adding some detail to the centre.
Oval scallop, and Oval punches for greeting,
with some of that pretty white ribbon.

At least Alan's enjoyed watching some of the Olympics,
and having a rest for a change.
He has had a very nasty virus.

Happy Birthday Wills...

It's also Alan's Nephew's birthday today.....
so just to prove I CAN do clean and simple...?
Hope you had a good one William!

My Alan's Birthday!

Poor Alan's feeling a bit poorly, so had to make this in a bit of a hurry....
The shadow bike is supposed to represent my bike in the background,
because we normally go cycling together.......
and it doesn't show that well, but I put hearts in his basket,
and hearts to represent grass at the bottom.
Stampin'Up! set Pedal Presents is really cute and adaptable for many occasions.
and here's a peek on the inside....with the cute little bird,
and one of my fave greetings from Flight of the Butterfly.
Main colours are pool party and island indigo,
and used the Framelits Labels collection for the shaped layers.
Thanks for looking!

Finally got around to trying out some black cardstock.....
but rather than just white, wanted to try the yummy melon mambo with it...
it's the most gorgeous pink, that photos just don't do justice...
you have to see it in  the flesh!
A kind friend let me use her new stamp set and punch....
will update other elements used later....
Poor Alan's had a touch of sunstroke.....he didn't wear a hat or use any sunscreen yesterday,
so has felt very ill today......think he's learnt his lesson though!
Please take care in the sun....it's nice to see it at last, but it demands respect!

Happy Birthday Gayle!

Wanted to make this one oooooze of summer, so chose one of my fave colours,
Melon Mambo, a really gorgeous pink, that goes fab with the 'Beyond the Garden' Papers,
with daffodil delight and wild wasabi
(weird how wild wasabi looks really good with this combo, as it's not a green I usually like much!)
Used the vintage wallpaper embossing folder, edgelit,  little leaves and swirls,
(that I tucked in the ribbon, and which incidentally doesn't stand out in the catalogue, but is really pretty).
Stamps include 'Oval all' and 'Posy Punch'.
So, all in all a bit 'loud'!, but it is a very special birthday ;-)x

'Tickets and Tags'

Here's that stamp again....this time using paper piecing with the Tickets n Tags papers,
which I thought suited the trousers perfectly!
The thin borders are from the "waste" bits from the kit,
and I didn't have quite enough backing card, so used a different colour on one corner,
which I think is one of those 'happy accidents'!
The paper I used for the insert looked a bit like a score-card....
sorry didn't take a pic of that....
Happy Birthday Edward.......hope you had a good time!

Domestic Goddess

Using that yummylicious DSP again,
but this time I could add ribbon and brads, and layer it up a bit more,
because they were hand-delivered!
Used the Cupcake punch again too, card colours calypso coral, and pool party,
some touchy-feely velvet ribbon, and a bit of crochet trim.
Over the top as usual, but bright and cheerful thats for sure!

Kathy

Made this one for a lady who bakes loads of yummy stuff
for the local Hospice, and me and my friends !
She does such a lot for other people, and so I thought this DSP,
along with the cupcake punch,
was perfect for her card!

For Martin

Here's one for Martin's Birthday!
Using Up, Up and Away!

I wanted to experiment with clouds.....
so got out my brayer, cotton wool, and versamark.....
that didn't work.........
then got out a re-inker, mixed with water, with cotton wool mask....
Hmmmmmmm......the old cheap cardstock didn't help!
methinks I need more practice!!!
This is why I resorted to my fave clouds......using the cupcake punch!
I punched some extras to use as masks, then spritzed with water and ink to make the background.
But I will be back when I've experimented more!........
