Elephant parade

 Hey there

There’s this cute set on the block, and I could not resist….

I love elephants! These ones are up for a party!

Emma Goddard used this set on one of her card and a cuppa sessions.
If you fancy some “me” time, with a lovely group of friends, learn some techniques and layouts to help boost your mojo, I can highly recommend them, see Coastal Crafter Here
You can book different blocks, watch it live on zoom or Facebook, or watch on catch up.

I used blends to colour in, crumb cake and smoky slate for the animals, heather and flamingo balloons,
Pear for my scribbled grass, and pool party around the images and the sentiment, to make it pop out a bit.
I blended grey with crumb cake on the elephants. You can get surprising results using colours you wouldn’t think of together. I drew teeny bows on the trunks too.

New Horizon for June Rudolph Day

Today's card is for the Rudolph Day Challenge,

always on the 25th of the month

I took these photos in slightly different light.....it is definitely hard for me to get a true colour.

I used one of the New Horizon papers again.....this time stamping some trees,
then adding an overlaid die cut one.

Christmas needs bling, so glue and glitter came out,
along with some decorative dots.

Happy Rudolph Day

Sending Smiles across the miles

 Hi there

I'm back today with some flowers of a different kind,

using Sending Smiles stamp set and Sending dies.

I chose bright sunny colours, Mango melody, Highland heather, Gorgeous grape, Granny apple green.

I added die cut flowers to the stamped leaves, did an extra mango one, which I moulded a bit, and added dimensionals to raise it up...

.....added a Glossy Dot to one flower centre, and diecut the sending, stamped the other.

There are loads of sentiments to go with the large "sending".

I'm sending this over to the Allsorts Challenge, where the theme is flowers.

Do hop over to their blog HERE for more inspiration.

More Hues of Happiness

 Happy Saturday!

More of these lovely papers and stamps…..

First up an idea from Tracy Elsom of paper craft with me.com,
Simply using one of the papers as the main attraction…

The next one is from Susan Simpson of craftyduckydoodah.blogspot.com
(Love the name!)

A simple idea, but I think really pretty, and shows some of the huge amount of versatility.

Enjoy your weekend

Hues of Happiness

Hues of Happiness is a lovely bright inspiring versatile set of papers.

I enjoyed doing a class with this set, the dies cut some of the images.

The new Annual Catalogue provides inspiration such as this design…

I love the die that cuts out this pattern revealing what’s underneath.
I fussy cut some of the flowers too, from snippets of paper left over from another design,
and cut the sentiment from another snippet of white.

I then took a simple scalloped white mat from a snippet and created another simple layout.
There’s lots more ideas out there, which proves how much we love this set.

There’s also coordinating glossy dots which are so pretty,
and I added some natural twine too.

Here’s just two of the many I’ve made so far…

I’m entering the Snippets Playground challenge, a new one starts today,
with more super prizes as long as you use up some of your snippets.
Have a great day

Classic Cloche

I need to get a wriggle on with my xmas cards, I am way off target,

so here's a couple with a layout inspired by Emma Goddard of

Coastal Crafter fame......

I used an old set Classic Cloche, inspired by this challenge:
Happy Little Stampers Christmas (optional + snow globe)

I will also enter Peace on Earth Challenge, my design has branches from the photo board.

It's another good way of using all that hoarded loved paper :)
and I used the birds from the stamp set, coloured in with Blend pens

There's some lovely shiny foil details, and I fussy cut the stand.

I made another (having "experimented" with the layout.....ie chopped and changed, literally, and ending up with more paper than required!)
adding a paper banner behind, and sparkly gems instead of twine bow.

Just to prove they are slightly different, here they are together :

Snippets Playground Jubilee

I’m going to the Snippets Playground Jubilee Party,

do join in if you can, there’s cocktails, scones, trifle, jelly and fabulous prizes!

I’ve made this card using lots of snippets, so I’ll be allowed through the gates…

I saw this technique on Stampin' Up! Facebook page, and thought it was perfect for my snippets card.
Take leftover strips of paper and glue them diagonally on scrap paper or card.

Then cut that whole piece into four, and turn every other strip, so the original pattern is broken.
Hopefully the pictures will explain better than I can!

I used Hues of Happiness papers, then die cut a vellum circle, adding the sentiment on a smaller circle.

Another tip was shared, where you draw over a word with a blend pen,
to highlight it, using the blunt tip.
I added a few pearls to finish.

I do hope to see you over at the Snippets Playground,
and may you enjoy the Jubilee weekend wherever you are!

Snowflake wishes

Hello again, another xmas card for the box, it's never too early to start!
Today I was pleased that a previous card of mine was chosen at:

I was invited to guest at their next challenge:

I also noticed the Allsorts had a new challenge

Week 678 Anything but Birthdays

So, here's what I made with Snowflake Wishes.....

Stamped random snowflakes with blue, lavender and green, placed a blue mat underneath,

added the twine which had a strand of silver in it,
(I liked how it unravelled).

Added some silver rhinestones, then photographed it again with the sun shining!

I find both challenges are fabulous for inspiration and when you're stuck for a starting point.
Do check out their blogs!
