Dainty Delight on vellum

This was another idea using vellum, where you can mute a background,

and / or make a focal point stand out more.

This paper was definitely flower power bold and bright!

From old stash I thought it (the paper) was great for showing off some of the

Dainty Delight bundle.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Snippets Playground Jubilee

I’m going to the Snippets Playground Jubilee Party,

do join in if you can, there’s cocktails, scones, trifle, jelly and fabulous prizes!

I’ve made this card using lots of snippets, so I’ll be allowed through the gates…

I saw this technique on Stampin' Up! Facebook page, and thought it was perfect for my snippets card.
Take leftover strips of paper and glue them diagonally on scrap paper or card.

Then cut that whole piece into four, and turn every other strip, so the original pattern is broken.
Hopefully the pictures will explain better than I can!

I used Hues of Happiness papers, then die cut a vellum circle, adding the sentiment on a smaller circle.

Another tip was shared, where you draw over a word with a blend pen,
to highlight it, using the blunt tip.
I added a few pearls to finish.

I do hope to see you over at the Snippets Playground,
and may you enjoy the Jubilee weekend wherever you are!

Evergreen Forest on paper

 Hello again

hope you are keeping safe and warm.

This was inspired by creativeleeyours.com........embossing on paper.....

the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (150444) available in my shop.

The Evergreen Forest embossing folder (153576) just adds texture to this lovely paper,

don't you think?

Here's a close up...........another quick and simple card .......I need lots of those!

Then how about embossing some vellum, and placing it on Shaded Spruce card?
I used two stitched rectangle dies to create a frame and glued the vellum behind.
It did crack the vellum a bit, but I was lazy and didn't use quite the right sandwich,
naughty me :)

Another close up, and another quick and simple card.
Although I decided to add some wink of stella after I took the pics,
and boy does that sparkle!

Have a great weekend

Beautiful Blizzard on Vellum

Here's our other class project using Beautiful Blizzard and Vellum.
I used Gray Granite card, stamped in a few blues,
then stamped the sentiment in white embossing powder
I dry embossed the vellum, but wasn't too happy so overstamped with white embossing powder

Torn edge and sequins plus ribbon and gem stepped it up.

I hope you enjoyed these two large A5 cards we made.

Lovely as a Tree on Vellum

We used Vellum at our last class.
I wanted to introduce the merits of vellum in their projects.
I used "Lovely as a Tree" to stamp on the background, and then stamp and emboss on the vellum.
We used the Stamparatus to provide an easy "shadow", by just cutting the vellum slightly smaller.

We used a Border Die to cut a decorative section, and then stamped the detailed leaf in grey,
which is less harsh than black ink.
I'll be back tomorrow with our other version.

Have a great weekend
