Fireside Trimmings cats and dogs

Another set I had lots of fun with....Fireside Trimmings.

Below are two of the many cards I made...

Below was for Di from the Snippets Playground, do skip over there to join in the challenge to win some fabulous prizes, and all you need are snippets, and we all have snippets...card, paper, ribbon etc!

It’s meant to look a bit like Dudley dog, eager to open the presents.

I love all the little details in this set.

I made another for a cat lover, with a teeny Xmas card on the mantlepiece, that I made from a snippet.
I used plaid as the wallpaper.

I hope you’re enjoying some quiet time.
We had a nice time over Christmas, some tears but lots of smiles.
Zoom calls with both our families, not as nice as in person,
but thank goodness we could still “see” each other.
Technology does have lots of benefits as well as the angst!

Take care, keep safe

Snowflake Splendor

These are some cards I made that can be lit up by a battery candle,

creating a lovely soft glow.

The aperture is backed with vellum

Snowflake Splendor has dies that cut this pretty frame,
and lots of snowflakes too.

The stamp set compliments, and there's some lovely sentiments.

Hope you're having a restful day

Ornamental Envelopes

Only one more sleep......but have you been good?!
I'm sure you have, ................
in fact most of us haven't had the chance to be anything but!
With this lockdown we can't do much or go anywhere,
but lets be thankful for what we do have.....each other.

This card was inspired by the lovely Sarn from Stampingforpleasure.
I love how the holly hangs from the top.
I added a small bauble, which I coloured and added some wink.
That is from the stamp set Ornamental Envelopes.

I just love that sentiment from Merry Christmas to all.

Here's the envelope, but you can see it's a great set for your cards too.

I hope you have the best christmas you can,
take care
keep safe
sleep tight
and "NO PEEKING!"

Trimming the Town scenes

I can't resist showing you more scenes created with Trimming The Town.

You can see below how busy I've been.....

The papers are so adorable.
Team them up with other stamps, embossing folder and embellishments...

Here you can see the paper with all the words...and I made this one for our Postman,
It’s meant to represent a letter?.......
...........seasons greetings to our European friends...

......and on the opposite side these pretty wreaths...

See you soon

Trimming The Town in the Pines

I have had so much fun with this Bundle Trimming the Town.
There are so many scenes you can create using the papers alone.

On some I have used the Evergreen Forest embossing folder as a background

One of the designs of paper has sentiments you can chop up,
as shown above, where it's mounted onto a scrap of card.

There's lots of images to die cut, but also some you can fussy cut.
I have used lots of snippets for the sentiments, but also to back the images,
houses, trees etc., which make them appear more solid like board.

I used lots of snippets for the die cut shapes, to make the hills and snow too...

.....add sequins, and other embellishments, ribbons and wink of stella...

I'm going to enter the Snippets Playground Challenge,
which is a very special place, with lots of lovely people, and lots of wonderful prizes.
Do join in the party, all you need is a creation using snippets.

Have a great day

Joyful Holly batch baking

I don't know if it's the same for you, but I never seem to have enough cards at this time of year.

So, needs must, and some batch making of cards using the Stamparatus.

I don't like them exactly the same so different coloured layers,

slightly different positions of sentiment,

some gold embossing of the outline (only did a few as its more time consuming),

and hey presto, quick smart.
The Stamparatus really helps here for the two-step- stamping of Joyful Holly,
and for lining them up perfectly.
Some Wink of Stella, and Crystal effect Glaze to decorate.

Enjoy your day

Quite Curvy Plaid

Hello there

I do hope you are keeping safe and well.

It's not going so good here in Kent, but we will get through this if everyone is good.

We need to be good, otherwise Santa won't come either!

I tweaked my back (ie I'm in agony) yesterday, and forgot to post here.

So I'm treating you to a longer post today!

First up...the card.....

I'm loving SU Plaid paper, and also the Quite Curvy Bundle.
I do love curves, and especially decorative ones.

The card base is a decorative edged one from my stash, onto which I stamped those lovely leaves,
adding one of the cute birds bottom right, and some rhinestones for sparkle.
It has been a bit dull and dismal, wet and windy, down here recently, so I took this outside.....

.......and realised how well it went with my Acer tree.

I then took a stroll around the garden.....

.....and was surprised at the amount of colour out there.......

.....and a brief appearance of snow!

Take care
Stay safe
