Magical Day

A card for a young girl, everyone loves a mermaid don’t they?

I grabbed some paper Snippets from my stash, cut out a mermaid and  two seahorses.

Used another Snippet for the background.

Stamped and die cut the sentiment from a snippet of white, stamped it again,

And overlaid the “magical”.

I was going to enter the Snippetts Playground, but alas again I’m late!

BUT still pop over to see the FABULOUS Christmas competition where there’s some awesome prizes on offer, loads of ideas for using up your scraps snippets, and inspiration galore…….not forgetting the mulled wine and sausage rolls in the treehouse;)

Found a snippet of “floating seaweed” (well it is now lol), for her to sit on.
I lightly watercoloured it. (It’s from Eden’s Garden).
And gave her a shell and seahorse to cuddle.

Hopefully it made her day a little more magical

February Rudolph Day Challenge

A determination to get ahead with my christmas cards this year,

I'm joining the Rudolph Day Challenge, a monthly event on 25th of each month.

(yes, a tad late 😄😄, but you know what they say....better late than never. )

A never before used die won in Pixie's Crafty Workshop, (thanks Di )
a lovely frame with the die cut words attached.
As all my elements are using never before used stuff, (schtuff), I can also enter this challenge.....

I decided to build a small scene, with fir trees, and a teeny deer.
The photos show the imperfections on the gold foil card, but it's not so bad in real life.

I added a few gems for sparkle, then added touches of wink of stella.

We had a lovely bike ride today in the sunshine at our favourite place on Romney Marsh.
A much needed tonic, even saw some new born lambs......ahhhhh.

Have a good weekend

Trimming The Town in the Pines

I have had so much fun with this Bundle Trimming the Town.
There are so many scenes you can create using the papers alone.

On some I have used the Evergreen Forest embossing folder as a background

One of the designs of paper has sentiments you can chop up,
as shown above, where it's mounted onto a scrap of card.

There's lots of images to die cut, but also some you can fussy cut.
I have used lots of snippets for the sentiments, but also to back the images,
houses, trees etc., which make them appear more solid like board.

I used lots of snippets for the die cut shapes, to make the hills and snow too...

.....add sequins, and other embellishments, ribbons and wink of stella...

I'm going to enter the Snippets Playground Challenge,
which is a very special place, with lots of lovely people, and lots of wonderful prizes.
Do join in the party, all you need is a creation using snippets.

Have a great day
