Peaceful Cabin

 Hi there

I recently got the Peaceful Place papers and Peaceful Cabin Bundle,

and I think I'm going to enjoy this one.

The paper has silver foil details, has many designs and this tree scene just needed a stamped cabin, fence, fox and sentiment.....can't get simpler than that.

It has a photographic quality, hard to see here.

Some papers are designed to be cut into quarters......just right for square projects.
Above shows it cut into 4 with the cabin stamped.

Hopefully you can see the foiling below, on the trees

Hope you have a Peaceful Weekend

Set sail.....

Hi there

I'm using lots of snippets today.....those strips of card we keep DO come in handy!

It's a new challenge over at

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Challenge #410

where there's always fun prizes on offer from some very generous crafters.

A friend gifted me some little dies, and this is the first time I've had chance to dust them off.
As you can "sea" I cut different blue waves, a faux "rock" in grey, and the lighthouse.....

which looks simple eh?
To get the two colours I stuck some tape onto red card to keep all the little bits intact.
I placed the white one over it, then I carefully removed the backing from the tape......
and some of the teeny bits fell out!!..........should have kept the backing on!
I then fussy cut the "stripes".........I need to get out more!
Finally added some sparkle to the "lights", splodged it a bit, but hey life's to short to worry!

Follow your dreams......NOW!........because life really is too short.
Wishing you a peaceful day

Twofer Card Challenge

 Hi there

the lovely Darnell runs some really fun challenges, and her Blog posts always make my day.

The Twofer challenge is coming to an end, and I'm sorry I've not entered much at all,

because this is a fun way to challenge yourself to use a stamp in different ways.

Do hop over to have a look, and join in before it closes.

I made two quick cards using a teeny dog stamp from some old stash.
First up a pretty in pink birthday version....

The bicycle is a die, and I used pencil marks to position the stamped dog and flowers,
only adhering the bike afterwards.

Secondly a good luck, new adventure card......

I die cut the road and trees, then stamped and fussy cut the camper van twice,
so I could sit the dog inside

The Twofer....I think the dog is enjoying both sets of "wheels"!

Thanks for visiting
Enjoy the ride!

Counting Sheep

 Hi there

Do you try counting sheep when you can't sleep?

It doesn't work for me, but this Sale-a-Bration set does :)

Counting Sheep Stamp set has some fun images, and the dies have a lot of extras,

both can be earned for FREE!

If you'd like a copy of the new Mini July to December Catalogue, just let me know,
and I'll send one with the Sale-a-Bration brochure, that has stacks of fabulous FREE gifts to choose.

The sentiment is from the Lighthearted Lines Stamp set from the Annual Catalogue,
some real funny ones in there!
I kept the card really simple, just stamped in Black Memento, and used die cuts.

Have a good day

Rainbow Seahorse

Following on from yesterday....I just love this Seahorse from the Sea Life Dies,

(do you love seahorses?.....they fascinate me).

These are quite large dies that give an impact on their own, and this is also cut from

the Rainbow Glimmer Paper, which is graduated in the most LUSH colours,

so you can use just parts of it to coordinate with your project.

Below are my messy bits! Scribble some alcohol pens on vellum (I used up scraps),

then add some rubbing alcohol .....sparingly, in a ventilated room.

I tried droplets and dabs with a brush, it varies a lot with the amount and how you apply.

You can also let it "run".

I then die cut some shapes for my backgrounds, having mounted them on white card.

added some stamped dots for balance and interest, and cut a vellum seaweed.
(Still not sure about that.....should I have left it off?)
A quick look at today's again.......

........and in case you missed yesterdays.....

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, always appreciate it :)

Fabulous Fish

Hello friends, a clean & simple ( I think? ) card today using

Sea Life Dies (155684) and alcohol inks on vellum

A recent craze is using alcohol inks or pens on vellum with rubbing alcohol.
I'll share my messy bits with you tomorrow :)

I die cut a section of the vellum, mounted it on white card using adhesive sheet,
die cut my fish from SU Rainbow Glimmer Paper
(page 135 #153056, there's also some other gorgeous new papers there),
and added some background bubbles using Seascape stamp set (155009).

I hope your day is not as soggy as it is in Kent........and thanks for visiting

Plentiful Plants niches

Please excuse the rubbish pictures......the bottom one has lots of glare...

I made it a few weeks back, having made some niches for my Plentiful Plants

from some of the paper from Bloom Where You're Planted.

I used the Peek-A-Hoot dies to cut the shapes.......

most stamps and dies can be used for non christmas makes, but I often forget.

At least I don't have to remember to water these plants :)

They are all stamped and/or die cut....

I love the stitched detail, and the brick "wall"......represents a walled garden, in my head anyway!
I'm into stamping a sentiment then fussy cutting at the moment.....looks good when you add a black layer to frame it, but here I left the one white layer.

Thanks for visiting
Take Care
