Flowering Blooms

Hello again
I'm back with some thank you cards today.
I think Flowering Blooms may get missed in the new catalogue,
but oh my goodness it's beautiful.
Some lovely images and sentiments too.

I'm sharing the main image here.
I was going to do some colouring in, but you know what?
I didn't think it needed it, do you?
The image is so striking and full of depth,
so I decided to stamp it in two colours to show you how different it can be.

Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green (love the names!)
I wish my photos did it justice. You have to see it to appreciate.
I chose one of the sentiments, die cut it from a lovely shape,
then trimmed it and mounted it onto a full shape cut from DSP.
Hopefully you can see what I mean :)

I treated myself to some color collection sets of DSP....Brights in this case,
4 designs and soooooo useful to coordinate with.
I then decided to add some rhinestones....
guess what I coloured them with? Yep...Stampin Blends!
Works a treat for coordination....

In fact, I liked this set so much, I did a couple more....

Melon Mambo colour this time, the image is so lovely it doesn't need much more,
Do you agree?.

These were thank you cards for some of the staff at the Hospital where my Mum is, sadly.
Lockdown means we cannot visit, and it's unbelievably stressful.
However, the staff have facilitated a video chat and a comfort pebble,
plus email messages that are delivered to her.
Words cannot express how devastated we are, as she is very poorly.
I have shed tears for others whose loved ones have died alone,
and I fear we may suffer the same fate.
Fingers crossed we can get her home........

Take care,
be kind to each other,
and cherish your time with loved ones...

Fancy Phrases

Hello again.......
hope all is well with you and yours....
popping by today with a card using Fancy Phrases

I stamped in Balmy Blue, then coloured in Highland Heather, and fussy cut a few flowers,
tucking the sentiment behind,
DSP (designer series paper) is used as the background.....

I really think this stamp set goes so well with Free As a Bird....
what do you think?

I don't enter many, but I'm entering into the
Enjoy your Sunday

Triple Cube Card

Hello
thanks for stopping by...
I'm sharing a popular fancy fold today..
Triple Cube Card.

I'd seen it on social media, then a lovely friend Rebecca
of Catnip Crafting showed us how to make one.
It looks difficult doesn't it?
But like all fancy folds....easy when you know how.
I'm sharing a few different angles.....it's like 3 mini towers,
but amazingly folds flat for standard posting!

Have a good weekend

Fathers Day Shed

Hi there
for all the dads out there, happy fathers day.
Here's a project a friend came up with.
We had lots of fun designing our sheds :)

I made it with Alan's dad in mind.....

It looked nice with the sun shining on it.....
then I noticed I could have the blue sky behind it!

Have a super sunday.....
and much love to those who are missing their dear dad.

Varied Vases

Hello
thanks for stopping by......I hope all is well with you and yours....
Here's a simple Varied Vases card inspired by
Mary Fish and Amanda Bates...........
It's almost impossible to see, but under the vases is an embossed dotty line
which grounds them and acts as a table.
I chose subtle colours for the recipient, and raised the centre one up on foam pads.

Lilac rhinestones adorn the flowers, and inside the sentiment is tamped in two colours,
and the envelope stamped with a favourite of mine,
which I'm surprised hasn't fallen apart, from the amount its' been used!

Wishing you a fabulous Friday, and a lovely weekend

Clubhouse take 2

Hi there
today is another male card for my nephew, can you take a wild guess at one of his hobbies?!
He is also a chef, so multi talented.......

I used this quarter fold design again......it's so simple but effective,
using the stamps and papers again.
I love how Stampin' Up! bring us coordinating products.
Below is the inside........"I hope the next year is full of
green fairways, blue skies and short putts.....TEEhee!

I think I'll visit the Snippets Playground with this
as I have been using lots of snippets of card and paper for these male cards :)

See you back here soon!

Garage Gears

Hello again
Here's another male themed card.......also made for my mum to send,
this time for her son-in-law who is in the garage business.
Here I used the papers , punched out with tailored tag, and laid out into a patchwork.
I stamped the focal point, used a die cut happy birthday,
then added a stamped tool box and oil can.
I again wanted to personalise it, using an alphabet set,
you can see it bottom right of the sentiment panel.....

Pictured above was my first attempt!
It just didn't fit, so plan B and a smaller set.

Have a good weekend

Clubhouse

Hi there
I hope you are keeping well.

I'm sharing some mens cards this weekend.

First up is one I made for my mum to send......bless her, I left a stamped addressed envelope,
and she did send it off, but forgot to write in it.
I hasten to add I have done that myself in the past, but it's usually because I spent so much time
making the card in the first place, and am then in a rush to post it!

So here's one for the golfers....using Clubhouse and Country Club DSP

For the sentiment I used different inks, then used an alphabet stamp to personalise it,
adding some enamel dots for some interest.
Hope to see you back for more....
