Golfing Brother

Continuing the golf theme from yesterday,

here’s one using some old SU paper and the eclipse technique.

You may have to zoom in to see the word brother, the paper is so busy it’s camouflaged well,
I hope you don’t get googly eyed!
I put three golf ball candy dots alongside it…

An old much loved SU set was used to stamp and die cut the details.

Have a great day

Quite Curvy Golf

Hello friends how are you?

I have lots of Birthday cards to make around christmas, which I always find a bit of a challenge,

well....... more than a bit, truth be told!

Luckily my lovely family in Wales are golfers, and I had this fab Country Club paper.

I'm in keep- it- simple mode here so I teamed it with black & white Plaid paper,

a die cut HB, and a die cut curve.

I used the 'other half' of the plaid to decorate the inside....

Splatted gold shimmer paint around and added gold gems to make it more girly.

The card base is a pack in my stash with a decorative edge.

Have a Super Sunday

Clubhouse part 2

Hello, back again with another Clubhouse card,

this time a much quicker simpler design,

which I needed to send to a dear friend in Spain.

By using the designer series paper as the main attraction,
die cutting the topper with a stitched rectangle,
and adding a few enamel stars,
Happy Birthday to Roger!

Have a super sunday

Clubhouse

Hi there

I'm here with another male card using Clubhouse from Stampin' Up!

I love how versatile their sets are, and especially when used with coordinating dies and papers.

I have edged the golf ball with ink to make the embossed detail pop.

I think this would be termed a window card?

Except I have used the concept without using acetate to fill the gap.

It's very easy, you chop out the middle front section,

and use the topper, in this case the golfer, to join the top and bottom together.

I paper pieced his shirt, by stamping n paper and fussy cutting.

The fairway background is also designer series paper.

An Argyle embossing folder adds texture to the white sections.

Have a good weekend

One of the many things I hate about the new blogger....it looked ok in draft!

Clubhouse take 2

Hi there
today is another male card for my nephew, can you take a wild guess at one of his hobbies?!
He is also a chef, so multi talented.......

I used this quarter fold design again......it's so simple but effective,
using the stamps and papers again.
I love how Stampin' Up! bring us coordinating products.
Below is the inside........"I hope the next year is full of
green fairways, blue skies and short putts.....TEEhee!

I think I'll visit the Snippets Playground with this
as I have been using lots of snippets of card and paper for these male cards :)

See you back here soon!

Clubhouse

Hi there
I hope you are keeping well.

I'm sharing some mens cards this weekend.

First up is one I made for my mum to send......bless her, I left a stamped addressed envelope,
and she did send it off, but forgot to write in it.
I hasten to add I have done that myself in the past, but it's usually because I spent so much time
making the card in the first place, and am then in a rush to post it!

So here's one for the golfers....using Clubhouse and Country Club DSP

For the sentiment I used different inks, then used an alphabet stamp to personalise it,
adding some enamel dots for some interest.
Hope to see you back for more....

Country Club

Hi there
hope you all had a lovely break with friends and family.
We had a really nice time, saw most of the family and ate far too much.
We've also enjoyed the sunshine for a change, although extremely worried about other parts of the world, like Australia.........thoughts are with you.
We are lucky with our temperate climate even though
we are renowned for moaning about it all the time!

So, a sneak peek at some new products for the spring,
Country Club
Stamp set with matching dies and paper.
Some of the dies cut the paper images...love that!.....
and some dies emboss at the same time...love that too!

I always struggle to get birthday cards done this time of year,
so I hope my Great Nephew liked it.
His whole family play golf, and my Nephew and his wife also run the golf club,
so they know how to hit a ball or too.
The club sits at the top of cliffs in North Wales, it's just beautiful.

Take care
