Lots of Tags

Today I’m sharing one of my lovely Christmas gifts.

I am so lucky to have a group of friends come to one of my classes, that club together.

One of the things I love as well, is that one of them makes a gift box, and they all make a tag.

As you can see below, the box is beautiful.

The following pictures show the tags, seven in all.
Someone had the unenviable task of tying them all to the box!

I am truly blessed.

Friends Are Like Seashells

Today I'm sharing a card made with a set I wouldn't normally go for.
However I saw so many lovely designs, I decided to try something new.
Friends are like Seashells 154368, and Seaside Seashell Dies 156059.

First I stamped some seaweed and dots using Versamark.
I then used a stencil to ink some "sand and sea" using Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue.
I used sticky notes to keep the stencil in place, which turned into a happy accident,
as I quite liked the masked off edge.

The versamark images didn't show well, so I stamped a few images in the same ink colours.
I then added Shimmery Glossy Accents dots randomly, and also coated the starfish with it.
That ended up a bit messy instead of the smooth look I was aiming for!
I added wink of stella on the small shells,
then placed a small sentiment aligned with the masked off edge on the right.

Being a New set, (NBUS) and using Ink, I'll enter the following challenges:

Have a Happy Day!

Is it possible to have too much fun?!

Some of my SU parcels have been delayed, but I was cheered up to receive my latest one,
that included these cute chicks!
Hey Chick has been re-released, but Hey Birthday Chick, and two sets of dies are brand new.

There are just so many fun elements to play with!
Can you see the cute chicken house?

I've been using lots of Snippets, as you can see below,

so I'll be popping over to the Snippets Playground, in memory of this little darling dog, Ruby...

I used one of the die cuts as a stencil (above top left), using my new blending brushes,
to make my background, so I'm entering this challenge .........

There's also another celebration going on at Uniko Studio here.....where we can share our birthday cards

Lastly, the main inspiration for this card was from here....
I also did some fussy cutting for this card......some teeny tiny stuff!
I put a penny in the picture to show you how small.....
and I cut the hat and shell out twice, so they stood out, but without foam pads,
true dedication or what?!

Then (if you're still reading ) I die cut with a stitched border,
then decided to ink the edges..........you know when you get to the final bit....and.....
yep the ink went a bit slopdgier (not sure that's a word) than hoped!
Hey ho, it's all a bit of fun eh!

Have a Happy Day

Scrappy Strips

Hello again.....I think I'm a bit addicted to challenges at the moment!

So I'm sharing two cards and two challenges........go on.........have a go!

Tall slim card, using some of those left over strips you get....you do don't you?!
And......some left over bits from the edges of that True Love paper.

Added some sequins, and entered this.......(I flipped it)

Secondly.......dug out a whole load of different colour strips and glued these horizontally.
The great thing about SU, is all the colours blend, and this is a riot!

Added some die cut butterflies and a die cut frond,
kindly donated eeeeeeeons ago!
Hmmmmm that's another thing I'm doing...........using up those bits!........
you know, the ones you keep because you can't throw them out!

Then I entered my rainbow here.........

Go on...........have a go!!

Snailed It along the wall

I've been playing with Snailed It, and entering a couple of challenges,

which are great because they can give you inspiration if you don't know where to start.

The first challenge was this ......

I decided to use the brick wall stencil and blending brushes to create a small background pattern,
and the paper piecing is also patterned.

The colour choices were from.......
Just Jade was my card base, and fussy cut parcels, and the other two colours
were paper pieced for the snail, and I used the Poppy stampin' write marker pen to colour the stripes

I added a bit of wink of stella on the body.

I hope it's made you smile today :)

Let's Celebrate You

Sharing a square card today, using those papers again...sorry, but I love them!

This time I've used incomplete "waste" flowers, from the edges of the paper,

that I've then fussy cut and coloured with Blends, then glued to the edges of the white topper.

Another tip I got from Kim Fee was to not colour the whole flower,
leaving white bits that act as highlights.
You can colour these flowers quite quickly as a result of using this technique,
and kit class members were impressed with the effect, when we had our zoom session.

I've also loved using black mats, and white embossed sentiments on black.
I used Pool Party  base, with Coastal Cabana Blends (light and dark),
and added Rhinestones, coloured with the Blends, for added glamour.

I used more "waste" flowers to decorate inside, this time leaving them black and white.
The snail adds fun to the envelope :)

Take care, see you soon ......virtually anyway :(

A Good Man collage

Hi There
Happy VE day !

I made a batch of cards for Mum to send, as she can't get out to choose cards.
This personalised one uses memories and more cards from SU.
These are various pictures/patterns/sizes, some with areas to stamp/write.

It's an A5 card, so I filled the space with various designs.
The central one had space to stamp the man in deckchair

I added some enamel shapes, dotted about for interest

Grace's Garden Decoupage (1)

Hiya
I'm afraid it's Grace's Garden again.....I just love it so much!

Found some decoupage that I layered up with pinflair glue.
Some of the pieces were really teeny tiny!

I wanted to contrast the pretty girl making a daisy chain,
with a muted stamped background.

Do let me know what you think as I may do another similar one?
There's a very cute cat again in the picture, can you spot it ?  :)

Take care

Daisy Delights

Hi there
I've managed some crafty time, in between gardening and stuff.
There's always stuff isn't there?
Anyhoooo...........without further adoooo
Smile......go on Smile.....it exercises your face muscles :)

I've been following a lovely blog by Anita - NeetandCrafty
and feeling in a CAS (otherwise known as clean and simple) mood in
the Craft Room...........

I stamped and masked the daisies..........using sticky notes,
masked off a border with stencil tape ......not as tacky as masking tape,
and doesn't tear your project....ask me how I know that :),
and used a sponge brayer to add ink.
Below is the inside...

I used my Stamparatus (see above) to stamp the "smile".
I left the masks on the daisies, just in case, and was able to get a nice black sentiment
by stamping it three times.

I then decided I liked the smaller daisy more....and chose a brighter colour
(Mango Melody instead of Balmy Blue)
I added some stalks this time..........and used a black fine liner where it wasn't black enough.

I think this is my favourite, what do you think?
Do pop over to Anita's blog......she has some lovely elegant designs and ideas.
I'm linking up with PerfectlyCleanandSimple  Masking challenge too,
as there's lots of masking done here :)

Perfect Presents

Happy Sunday

Sharing a card brought to the craft table by a lovely friend.
Some of you might recognise her style :)

Stamped the presents, and again on spare card to fussy cut
and decoupage on top

Coloured them in and "grounded" them with some ink.
Set at a jaunty angle et voila!
Love it!
