Stamparatus Tip

Evening all!
Hope this finds you well....have you had a good weekend?
We've had a bank holiday here....today not so bad but yesterday was decidedly soggy.
No doubt the sun will shine tomorrow, when everyone's back at work...
that's what normally happens :)

Anyhoo, I showed you the Signs of Santa cards the other day,
and I meant to share a tip on using the Stamparatus, that I now can't live without.

So, a couple of cards ......now as well as the lovely paper,
there's stamps and dies...which you can do easier on the Stamparatus

.......and especially if you want to do "batch baking", heres the "how"

1) Line a piece of card up into the corner of Stamparatus and Stamp the images nicely spaced out
Leave the stamps in place on the Stamparatus
2) Die cut those images
3) Die cut lots of blanks of the same shapes
4) Line up the card from 1) into the corner of the Stamparatus
5) Insert the blanks into the apertures
6) Ink the stamps and stamp on blanks
7) Repeat 6)

Have you ever stamped images and then the dies slip when in the die cutting machine?
This is how to avoid that, as well as making it easier to do lots of the same,
And it works well for classes and workshops as you can die cut ahead of time.

This probably works with other stamping tools.
Let me know if you give it a go!

Take care

Serene Garden

Hello again, thanks for visiting, I do appreciate it as we're all so busy.

Today I'm sharing some of the projects we did at some recent classes.
I always try to experiment and research as much as possible,
as the time always fly when they're here,
and I like them to get the most out of it,
with makes I think they'll enjoy.

I liked this bundle as soon as I saw it in the Annual Catalogue.
Quite a different concept for SU I thought, with cut-outs and dies that also emboss,
plus I think it's so elegant, but as ever I was surprised how versatile, as most SU sets are.

Die cut, with the background stamped green on green and lined up behind,
flowers coloured with Blends and decoupaged

Similar, except the backing piece is embossed, although the lines appear stamped

Square ones very simple, gently coloured, the bird is die cut,
top right flower fussy cut with butterfly antennae forming the stamens

One for christmas using the border stamp and some glitter

A happy accident DL card using the Stamparatus by moving the plate down the hinges

My display on the day

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your day

Signs of Santa

Happy Rudolph Day!

Eek! it's the 25th of the month again, and that means the

I'm also entering the Snippets Playground as the gates are still open to play :)
Bottom picture shows I still have a mountain few snippets left...

Do hop over to both Blogs if you get chance , for some lovely prizes & projects and even lovelier people!

Here's a sneak peek of some new things from the Seasonal Catalogue
that goes live on 5th September, and as a demonstrator we get to play
work with some of the new toys products......

I thought I'd put all the blurb here so you can skip past read it and just enjoy the pics.
So I made a standard size, and a landscape z fold, using some stamped images,
and some die cut from the paper....(omg it's the strokeable-got-to-have-two-packs kinda paper)
.....YES the dies cut some of the paper images out!!
I was so excited about that (ok, so it doesn't take much)...... how cool and time saving!

Can you tell I like this bundle yet ;)
Want a catalogue or have any questions? Just ask! I'm always happy to help.

Enjoy, thanks for visiting and see you again soon

Colorful Seasons

Hello again, hope this finds you well.
I needed a card for a neighbour who loves his garden, used to be our Footpath Officer,
and loves everything to do with the garden, sometimes relaxing with a glass of wine :)

I had an idea in my head.....didn't work out quite as planned (does it ever?),
but ran out of time to redo/make another, so here's the "how"....

I stamped the wall & gate from Cozy Cottage....
added the path using marker pens to ink the bits I needed.
The deckchair from Colorful Seasons was next (american spelling)......fussy cut the canvas of the chair, then made a drink ......(luckily there's a wee die) .
Used the marker pen to add bits of the grass from Cozy Cottage,
adding the longer grass from Wetlands in the same way.

My perspective is suspect, probably should have added some sky instead of the sheer hill lol,
but I just wanted to show how you can use bits from sets to make up a personalised picture.

He will of course have no idea how difficult it was, so I just hope he appreciates
I made an effort and that it was at least hand made :)

Another Beautiful Blizzard (or three)

Hello again, thanks for visiting, and hope all is well with you and yours.

I'm back with another card with Beautiful Blizzard,
and I've not even made a christmas card with it yet!
This set is definitely not just for Christmas.

Beautiful Blizzard

I used soft colours, Pool Party and Highland Heather with Mango blobs, some Shimmery Paint, then fussy cut some flowers from the
Love What You Do DSP, which has a similar "shimmer" on it

I was going to use a sheet of the paper on the front, decided it was far far far too busy,
so stuck it on the inside instead......a pretty insert!

I also made another similar to the first, hopefully you can see the shimmer paint,
and see if you can spot the differences :)

This was the first one....

See you again soon!

Santa's Sacks

I couldn't wait to show you these......
something I don't think I've tried before,
plus using some of my pre-order from the new Seasonal Catalogue,
due out on 5th September, and full of lush new stuff!
(Just message me if you'd like your own paper copy)

These fun canvas gift bags are so versatile and useful for small gifts/cards/money/sweets etc
I used Mistletoe Season with Archival black ink to stamp this image.
I actually used my Stamparatus so that I could go over the image.
I wasn't sure it would work with anything but card, but as you can see it worked perfectly.
I used a magnet to hold in place, but also because I was able to butt it up into the corner
I was able to stamp the image a few times over.
Canvas doesn't take the ink as well as card, so don't expect the same crisp image.

I wanted to use the new sparkly gorgeous Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon,
and some embellishments from last year, plus some Rhinestones

Above shows them on my display in the CraftRoom.
I am holding some all day Classes next month, so let me know if you'd like to join us.
Signs of Santa is a brand new Bundle, and oh my goodness it is cuteness overload.
There are loads of fun images from the "North Pole", plus coordinating products such as
Flocked Speciality Designer Series Paper and Dies that even cut the images on the paper!

I used Washi Tape to mask off some stripes, and then with Poppy Parade red ink and a Sponge Brayer,
inked the stripes ((  I went over the edge of the last one :(  )), and stamped the "Seal".

I have already had lots of fun with these, but I fancy there could be lots more fun to be had yet!

I hope you are having a good weekend,
thanks for stopping by, and see you again soon

Love What You Do

I am so lucky that I love what I do,
so this set is right up my street.
A pretty adaptable set, and an even prettier set of Papers.

I needed some quick cards so chose one of the papers,
(I think you can see some of the shimmer in the pics),
sandwiched a doily (cut into two) between two oval layers.

The topper was stamped in black and embossed with clear powder,
then coloured slightly differently, adding some small enamel shapes.
Not sure the differences show up in the pics as well as in reality,
but was pleased with the results and love the colours.
Cards don't have to be complicated or take hours to make to be pretty, don't you agree?

I just remembered to pop over to the Snippets Playground, as I used snippets of card for the ovals.
(Cutting a doily in half probably doesn't count as a snippet lol)
Do take a look at this fab blog!

Hope you've enjoyed your weekend,
thanks for visiting, I always appreciate you stopping by.

Beautiful Blizzard

Well we've gone from heatwave to rain all day,
that's more the norm here,
but now I'm talking Blizzards!
But don't worry.....only in the world of Stampin' Up!

The new seasonal Autumn/Winter catalogue is due out next month...
Yes I know, far too soon!......I haven't gone through the annual one properly yet!

But, I have to say this is one catalogue where I want it all!

I just had to show you this one, as it works for any time of year....

It's quite abstract....splats and splodges....and in my favourite red rubber too!
You can do so much more with red rubber.
Another new product is some Shimmer Paint, which can be used on lots of surfaces,
and adds a subtle sheen.

I used some Twinkle Twinkle DSP for the main background,
then splodged on the focal point, adding some sequins and shimmer paint.

Thanks for stopping by, I really do appreciate your visits and comments.
