Crafty Cat and Snippets

 Hello, I’m back with another cat card…….another old favourite…

I’m loving playing with these adorable wooden stamps.

I subtly coloured it in (honest)……added some sparkly paper, and snowflakes…

(gutted the rectangle piece with snowflakes die, waste not, want not 😃)

Then I stamped the sentiment in balmy blue……too pale, so I stamped it again…..too fuzzy because I miss lined it….so stamped in navy over the top…….sorted!

There’s a new challenge over at the Snippets Playground,

(The white and blue layers were snippets, and the snowflakes were snippets from snippets)

and still time to enter at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge, (cat lovers)

October Rudolph Day

 I’m glad you popped by today, because, would you believe it,

it’s two months to Christmas Day! Eeek!

So I’ve a few to share from some old wooden Forever Friends stamps…

Some lovely sparkly new SU paper, and coloured with blend pens.

Two crumb cake cards coloured with pencils..

Love the teeny snowflakes from an old SU set, added some snow with a posca pen

Had to add some wink here and there, you have to have sparkle eh?

Snow I know which is my favourite (pun intended), which is yours?

Nuts about Squirrels

 Some old, some new….Autumn leaves, (new), Nuts about Squirrels and Autumn Bouquet (both retired).

The squirrels get everywhere….😃

These are grey squirrels, of which there are many in and around my garden.

Love the detailed die background

He even pops up on a Christmas card…

Love the lush velvet effect paper, looks so snuggly…

Some red ones….A simple diorama card, the squirrels in their hideout. 

As often happens, didn’t turn out quite as planned and Ooops, placed the sentiment too high 🙄

Autumn Leaves with tips and tricks

 I’m loving the Autumn Leaves die set from Stampin’ Up!, and the papers.

First up some pumpkin paper, and leaf veins used as twigs.

The mottled look is from a juicy ink pad, which in this case I like.

Squirrel is a two step, but I eventually found it easier to do the inner before the outline.

Rough the end of jute ribbon, and pull out strands….makes a lovely texture detail.

Good for using up snippets of ribbon.

Cased this one from the catalogue……always useful for 💡 ideas.

Another paper from All About Autumn….lush

Use metallic enamel effects to paint with! Used here on the veins.

That squirrel gets everywhere….

Hello crafty friends

I thought I’d share some more ideas with the Open Horse Sleigh papers,

so grab a cup of tea…

I wanted to show it can be used for birthdays too…..

the paper is just wintry, and so is the stamp I used inside

A pink one with some favourite deer

simply stamped onto the lovely scene

A kind of bridge fold, showing the cute fox

Simple Kraft colour with white spots

A gold deer and red cardinals (a lovely gift from a friend)

Two Mugs of hot chocolate

 Hi there, two for today, using only die cuts, apart from the sentiment.

The pink theme is in a very good cause….The breast cancer research foundation 

So here’s the pink version….

All done in Blushing Bride pink, including the marshmallows sinking into the cream….

So who’s licking their lips 😂😂

Trying to show the sparkle of the snowflakes….and the white velvet cream….

Here’s the blue version…..

This time I stamped with a border stamp, and another retired one that had the sentiment.

Can you see the cinnamon stick and dinky marshmallows?

I made a band around the mug with the border from the sentiment.

This time the cream was made with snowfall accent puff paint,

which really amuses me when you heat it and it all puffs up 😃

So I’m taking the pink one to jinglebellsrock

and Addicted to CAS, dies only

The Cat Lovers Challenge at Christmas kickstart

 This is a special post in memory of Janis Woolbright, of The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge.

It’s being run by the Christmas Kickstart Challenge

I am eager to take part, as I did enter a few times, and it’s nice to pay tribute to Janis.

Here’s my first entry…..I’m hoping to do more, but time flies doesn’t it, 

so that’s why I’m doing it today…..before I forget.

It’s quite simple, a piece of snowflake paper, stamped the greeting on,

added some black cats, snowflakes splodged in the same ink,

and some sparkly iridescent discs.

I do hope you’ll visit this lovely challenge, where there’s lots of inspirational cats!

Pink toes

 Here’s another Penny Black card, using an old wooden stamp.

Coloured with blend pens, paper pieced an extra tutu layer, fussy cut that and the teeny flower,

which was from a Snippet of the backing paper (SU zoo crew).

Added a few Irridescent adhesive backed discs (SU)….

Stamped some teeny cats on the backing paper….which I regret but didn’t want to waste it 🙄,

then made a matching envelop!
