Sending sunshine your way and wishing you a beautiful day

Hi there, a couple of cards today using SU Beach Day bundle.

I used snippets of white card for chairs and umbrella, green and brown snippets for palm trees, and snippet of blue and sandy paper for the sea and sand.
I grounded the trees and stamped some small shells

Next is similar, but I also used paper for the sky

One of the dies cuts the waves out. You can see the white card behind the cut outs.
I also used small white snippets for the cloud and birds.
I decorated insides and envelopes.

Thanks to Val for the reminder (life’s been a bit challenging of late!)
I am also taking card one to the Allsorts Challenge #826 “seaside”!

I’m taking this second one to the Snippets Playground #509

Hats off to you

A very old set that I often go to for male cards, this is a simple layout.

(Stampin’ Up! Guy Greetings)

Used coordinating card and paper and ink,
stamped the hats in black and die cut the hexagonal shapes (retired SU also)

Tea or Gin?

Today’s little offering is an ATC made with some of the new SU

Celebratory Sips designer series paper.

I used an offcut of zesty orange cardstock, an unused white circle die cut,
and fussy cut images from a strip of one of the papers with teeny tiny images.
I stamped a background with SU Itty Bitty greetings, added a strip of the same card
and a sentiment from my stash that was embossed in white on black card.

It’s only 2.5” x 3.5” , the standard for an ATC

I’m entering the Tag-along and ATC’s challenge (Drinks…..here it’s definitely Gin cocktails, not Tea!)

MyNBUS #75 as the paper that is new to me,

Also Little Red Wagon, as there’s a little heat embossing on the black sentiment strip

I’ve used lots of snippets, so do head over to the Snippets Playground too

Simple arch cards for the boys

Sometimes we need quick and simple ideas for our cards,

so I made these using die cut arches, paper, and a few stamps.

For products used, see the labels list 😃

Have a great day

Tag along

Hello again, today I’m sharing a tag I made using Yuletide Village from SU.

I bought it late last year, so I wanted to use it for a lot of my Christmas cards and tags this year.

I sometimes buy a set for the following year so I can get a head start,

and we all know how nice it is to play with something new.

I stamped the houses, then masked them to add “snow”.
Coloured them in with Blend pens, added wink of Stella to the white snow areas.
I then tied some ribbons and twine through the hole,
adding a die cut piece of silver foiled paper to the die cut tag.
(Old tag die, can’t remember the name)
It’s quite a large tag that is good for large or family gifts.

using the Anything goes option, but I hope to return with a themed one soon 😃, based on tea or gin!

Arched Wishes

Hi, today I’m sharing a card for a couple of favourite challenges.

I am loving Stampin’ Up! Arch dies, and coordinating stamp Arched Wishes.

This was simply stamped (stamping is what makes me happy),

I added a few sequins to some of the letters, and used a snippet of the leftover dotty paper,
to stamp, fussy cut, and fold, intending to look like a paper case.
It didn’t work quite as well as planned, and now I worry what it looked like for the recipient,
having gone through the postal system, as it may have got squished 😳😂🙄🙈

Bluebirds fancy fold

Hello, today I’m sharing a card made some time ago, a winter birthday,

I think it was inspired by Emma Goddard of Coastal Crafter, but have seen this fold elsewhere.

It is images fussy cut from the Nests of Winter DSP, and a couple of white embossed panels.
Below it’s (almost) closed for posting.

Taking this to the Allsorts Challenge #824 where they are celebrating 16years

May Rudolph Day

I’ve hardly made any cards for Christmas this year, but I did use up some old bits ‘n’ pieces recently.

This is another card from that session.

An under used SU set, it cuts out a poinsettia and leaves,
behind which I carefully placed some different coloured scraps of glitter card,
adding a stitched oval die cut sentiment.

I’m joining in the new Allsorts challenge #824, where they are celebrating their 16th birthday,
and offering some fantastic prizes. They make it very easy to be creative with an “anything goes” theme.

We took my sister out yesterday to a local “garden safari”.
I’m not sure if this is just a UK thing? I’d be interested to know 🤔
People kindly open their gardens to the public in aid of a charity or local fund raiser.
There were six gardens open, all different, looking very pretty, with great ideas to take home.
There was also a tea garden with lots of cake, so that was literally with icing on the cake. 😂
The weather was good, and we met some lovely people.

60th Birthday with Uniko Alpahabet

Today’s card was a special one.

If you are easily offended do not look any further…..

Milestone birthdays are always more pressure for me,

and I often omit numbers in case the recipient doesn’t want any reminders! 😂

On this occasion I knew she was not looking forward to this one,

so I wanted to make her laugh 🤭

You would not believe how long it took, and how carefully I stamped endeavouring to line up all the (UNIKO) letters. Why is it only in when you look at the photo, you realise how you failed?! 😣

Below shows the draft layout.

Even the rhinestones look odd, because of my placement and their shadows 🙈

Her favourite colour is green, and I wanted to make the idea I got off the internet ‘subtle’

Don’t worry if you don’t get it……she didn’t either 😂,
I not good at joke telling as you can see 🤣🤣🤣
(The clue is in the letter colours)

Here’s the inspiration I used…..

I should have just bought it!
🙄
Enjoy your day
😃

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments last time.
I have a couple of updates…..

My brother-in-law sadly died peacefully Thursday evening, so at least he’s no longer suffering 😢

But we did have good news on our neighbours plans….which has been rejected by our Council.

Enjoy today…

 Hi there, how are you?

I’ve been struggling a bit with life, and have not been crafting for a few weeks,

but it’s nice to be easing back into it with the incentive of a new challenge for ATC’s and Tags.

I’ve had a new-to-me set waiting to be played with,  “Beach Days” from SU……

Brenda shared how to make a pocket, which you can see HERE,
she shares some beautiful artwork too.
My pocket is made with some old SU paper.

The ball on the ATC is about to flatten the sandcastle!
It’s strategically placed to cover an inky smudge 😂

I hope you enjoy today, and get some inspiration from this fab new challenge

Tag-Along (and ATC's)

I’m also popping over to

NBUS Challenge #74

Snippets Playground #506 (lots of white card snippets and snippet of paper)

My brother in law has Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia, and has sadly been admitted to a care home, after being cared for so well by my sister. I’m sure some of you can empathise.
Then my neighbours, without warning, submitted a Planning Application for a massive 5 bed house right next to our southern boundary, which would impact our privacy and daylight. We’re just hoping it will not get approval. It’s so sad our countryside is being devastated by all the house building everywhere.
I know there’s some of you that have been struggling with so much more, so hugs to you.
I’m grateful to be among so many caring crafters.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments.

The proposed house would be where those tall dark trees are at the back 😢

Poinsettias for Christmas kickstart

I saw the Christmas kickstart challenge #97 nearly two weeks ago.

I knew I had a stash of pre cut bits n bobs, but it’s taken me a while to put some cards together.

These were fussy cut from a DSP, and I like to use the partial edge pieces if I can.
I added a pre cut sentiment and added some Irridescent discs

Next I embossed a background piece in white, added a die cut frame, and winked it

a few rhinestones add sparkle

A couple of die cuts circles, and some red branches,

with some more shiny discs

Lastly, a DL card, more circles, and tiny stamped holly,
with a sentiment from Clarity.
I think this is my favourite, do you have one?

Do hop over to see everyone’s cards

Sets used are under “labels”

Nourish and Flourish

Today I’m sharing some cards using a Stampin’ Up! Kit, Nourish and Flourish,

and Nests of Winter DSP.

Sometimes the cards are a bit flat, so I added some fussy cut birds…
(they are very busy with their nests 😃)

…my own sentiments,
and some extra die cuts…

They are great for quick and easy cards

Hello Spring

I was lucky to have some birthday gifts, and this little die set was one of them.

I used some old SU three inch square envelopes for these thank you cards.

I used a flower head for a “sun”

Just love the simple bird

Nesting box is adorable, hung from a foliage “branch”,
and the grass is one of the flower heads snipped off
I also made a standard card using an old SU card blank.

Here’s the set…

And a photo of my snippets used..
