Stamping Sensations August challenge

Some of you may remember a little ATC I made some time ago,

which you can see HERE,

and I decided afterwards that it would make a cute card…

I used some old designer paper in black and gold, with a honeycomb design for the bees,
an embossed frame, cut out the aperture, and placed image behind,
cutting around the bunny ears to fit, and added a daisy and gold gems.

There’s a fabulous prize over at Stamping Sensations August challenge
with a theme birds, bees and butterflies, and some awesome inspiration too,
so do visit their Blog.

Also, hop over to Darnell’s blog, where this week it’s “embossing” HERE

Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments

Take care and see you soon

Hi there, how are things with you?

I’m sure you’ll let me off!

Bees & Bunny Tag-along and ATC’s

Hi there, today I’m sharing an ATC using an old Penny Black stamp,

and I’ll take it to the Tag-along and ATC’s challenge (in the garden)

And  Pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge (Penny Black AG /water)

It’s would also suit a child, (or AG) so I’ll also enter the Allsorts challenge #827

I think it’s a cute stamp that I will use again for a card.

It’s obviously a lovely sunny day, with the bees dancing around the summer flowers,
so it’s also ideal for Stamping sensations and We love stamping

I used a blending brush for the sky around the image,

then used a sharpie pen to edge a border in blue.

I just coloured it with blend pens, much like the picture on the wooden stamp.
I love how they help us with this guide to colouring, something we don’t get with most stamps these days.

Have a good weekend

Puppy Kiss

Hi there, hope your Christmas preparations are going well.

I’m having a short break from it to share this…

It’s a winter birthday card, using some SU paper background,
and a Penny Black wooden stamp Puppy Kiss.

As it’s for a birthday, I die cut some flowers, stamped and cut an extra paw,
to cover the mistletoe. I coloured the bobble hat to match the flowers.

Challenges….
Penny Black SaturdayChallenge, Winter Wonderland, or anything goes.

P.s. I did a software update on my tablet, and now Blogger is throwing up posts from years ago (average 6 to 9!),

Is it just me?!

Take care and see you soon

Ballet dancers…

My sister is a Medau teacher (a lovely form of keep fit),

and loves dance and music, and I knew this card would make her chuckle 🤭

I think it’s a z fold?

I stamped the dancers, then stamped again on scrap and fussy cut, to decoupage them.
I coloured them with blend pens.

I inked the large sentiment to match.

Below are the stamps I used 😃

Purrrfect book reading day

Hello, hope your day is going well.

You know how you have a card design in your head…..

and then find it’s really difficult to manifest it?!

Bet you do!

I wanted to use this stamp, but also make a background for an avid book lover.
I masked the cats image, and stamped the books from Les Shoppes, SU, over and over,
trying to line up the shelves with the tiny stamp. They’re not purrrfect.

I then stencilled the “floor”, and put the topper against a white card blank……ugh,
didn’t work for me……I know, I’ll stencil it to match the floor! Again, not purrrfect.
Then wanted to add a bit more interest/dimension, so fussy cut some books from the Les Shoppes paper.
Can you see how tiny they are?!!!

I made the sentiment by masking off and using bits of stamps.
Note to self: stop making it so difficult for yourself!
Can anyone see that the cat’s book is meant to be a Terry Pratchett? 😂🙄

Hope you like it anyway 🙃😅🥵😂

Snowy and Hedgy

I’m back with yet another old wooden stamp, gifted from a friend,

and again two cards, one on white, one on crumb cake.

I really like this one, I did make a mask, then blended some ink for the background,
and stamped some old SU snowflakes.

Next, I used a white pen for snow, and underlined the sentiment using the same pencil I used on the image.

I’m taking these to ….

Moving along with the times (winter animals)

Four Seasons ( AG, Winter mood board)

Peace on earth #53 (AG Christmas)

NBUS challenge (never before used schtuff……it’s an old stamp again, but new to me)

I’m really enjoying using these stamps, that have been in a friend’s cupboard for some time,

and I’m going to share them with some more of our friends, so they’ll be more loved than ever 😍

Have a great day

Crafty Cat and Snippets

Hello, I’m back with another cat card…….another old favourite…

I’m loving playing with these adorable wooden stamps.

I subtly coloured it in (honest)……added some sparkly paper, and snowflakes…
(gutted the rectangle piece with snowflakes die, waste not, want not 😃)
Then I stamped the sentiment in balmy blue……too pale, so I stamped it again…..too fuzzy because I miss lined it….so stamped in navy over the top…….sorted!

There’s a new challenge over at the Snippets Playground,

(The white and blue layers were snippets, and the snowflakes were snippets from snippets)

Jingle bells rock is ‘creatures’

Happy Little stampers, anything goes

and still time to enter at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge, (cat lovers)

in memory of Janis Woolbright

I believe it’s  America’s cat day today too 😃

Hope you have a peaceful day

Pink toes

Here’s another Penny Black card, using an old wooden stamp.

Coloured with blend pens, paper pieced an extra tutu layer, fussy cut that and the teeny flower,
which was from a Snippet of the backing paper (SU zoo crew).
Added a few Irridescent adhesive backed discs (SU)….

Stamped some teeny cats on the backing paper….which I regret but didn’t want to waste it 🙄,
then made a matching envelop!

So I’m taking this to

anything goes (snippets of white card and paper)

bingo, sentiment, black, paper or anything goes

make a matching envelope

July Rudolph Day and more

I nearly missed this months Rudolph Day, but luckily I have until the end of July,

so here is my offering that I’ll also enter into the  Snippets Playground Christmas challenge,

and the 52 Christmas card throwdown.

First up is the card made by cutting apertures with my old SU Peek a hoot die,

then stamping and colouring a gifted Penny Black stamp,

which I then cut apart to place behind the windows.

My sentiment and all the stamped images were fussy cut from snippets of white

I chopped The Greetery words to fit the story

The second one uses the “waste” which are also tags, so I mounted them on red card,

adding some twine, and fussy cutting the images and words.

Penny Black friends also have a challenge, the great outdoors.

It’s a bit like a cartoon strip, where the dog makes the snowman a bit grumpy 😄

I hope you’ll check out all the inspiration from the blogs :

52cct challenge - fussy cutting

Added more twinkle with silver punched stars from an old SU border punch,
then used an embossing folder to frame/ add interest top and bottom.

February Rudolph Day

Its the 25th of the month, so you know what that means by now?

Every month on the 25th we share our christmas cards that we've made.

It's a fabulous way of building up the stash before the big day,
and you know how time flies by......!

Today I'm showing the prize I won in the
Snippets Playground...

(thanks Miss Di, I LOVE it!))

A Penny Black stamp called Chill Day....
cute huh?

Had hours of fun colouring these in with pens...

lesleyscraftroom.blogspot.com
on the one on top I got a splodge of ink bah humbug,
so I chucked some glitter on, then chucked on some more until I hid (almost)
the offending splodge!

lesleyscraftroom

I used some embossing paste with glitter on some,
and just glue and glitter on most....
then tried a wonky sentiment, stamped a few others until I found my preferred layout
(decided I wasn't in a "wonky" mood!)

managed to remember to stamp the envelopes too....
a new resolution.....we'll see how long THAT lasts!

Happy Rudolph Day!
