Christmas Scramble

Uniko have produced a lot of inspiring new products recently,
and I couldn’t wait to get this stamp which immediately shouted
paper piecing and fussy cutting, which I love, (I can hear some of you groaning 😂),
but equally you could colour, glitter, heat emboss, doodle, zentangle etc.

I got out a Christmas paper pad, stamped the image in black on 9 sheets,
then cut out the letters, leaving a small border around each.

I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the whole image, and added some rhinestones.
I had enough paper left over to use as a mat behind it.
So now, when I get a few minutes to spare, I can make eight more!

This would be a great one for using up all those paper snippets you can’t bear to throw away!
Do skip over to the Snippets Playground
for more ways of using up those bits &pieces lurking in your drawers!

I’m entering the  Snippets Playground #513
There’s another fabulous prize, and you can cool off in the paddling pool!

Big and Bold Snow

 Hello again,

We have some relief from the hot weather, and the garden is glad we had some rain too!

I have another Christmas card today, using Uniko Big and Bold Snow

I stamped the background in three blue colours (one or two are a green blue),
mounted it onto navy card then onto white base card.
I love the bold sentiments…..dashing stamped in navy, mounted onto navy card.
Snow outline also navy, the inner blended with the same inks as before.

I’m entering the following:

UNIKO has a fabulous challenge, with some great giveaways.

NBUS, #76 as I’ve not used this set before, even though I’ve had it a while.

Christmas kickstart #100, “round”, hoping snowflakes fit, but I’ve also added three round gems.

12 months of Christmas, anything goes

Big Bold Joy

I’m back with my second Christmas card of the year….

I should be nearer 20 but my target has slipped somewhat!!

It was a chance using a new to me stamp set from Uniko,  Big and Bold Joy.

They are celebrating their 13th Birthday, a perfect time to treat myself to a few new sets,

and enter another fabulous grand prize draw.

There’s also a couple of other blogs I like, so decided on Allsorts “shades of blue”,
and We love stamping CAS themes. It often helps my mojo to follow a theme, do you find that?

The inks I used are SU night of navy, (you have to trust me “joy” is navy, although it looks black 🙄),
misty moonlight, coastal cabana, azure afternoon, blueberry bushel.
I also used a stencilled background recently made with the snowflakes stencil,
and I added stars from Mid Century Modern.
The bottom left one is wonky and too inline with top left star 🙄, but hoping you won’t notice 😂.
Inside I used their Christmas Wishes set……utterly gorgeous fonts!

I’m hoping this fits with the Uniko celebration
Allsorts #817 shades of blue,
and We love Stamping CAS or AG

Take care and see you soon

Uniko 13th Birthday Celebration

I don’t usually do more than one post, but I wanted to share these while I had time.

I needed some quick birthday cards for January, mojo missing after all the Xmas ones,

so I picked a couple of Uniko stamps, that I was able to just highlight parts of.

Snowflake duo

A couple more for the Christmas box…

I used some of the new In Colours from SU for this first one.

Uniko snowflake stencil and sentiment, Gummiapan snowflake die.

Masked either side of the central panel, added sparkly gems.
Entering Peace on Earth Christmas #71….anything goes

Uniko stencil again, and their sentiment, and old SU snowflake frame,
cut from white glitter paper, added gems.

Inked using blue pink purple, the sentiment being the focal point.
Taking this to the Allsorts Challenge #796…getting sentimental

Another two for the box 😃

Rudolph Day Yay

I’m so happy that Helen has taken up Rudolph’s reins, so that we can continue to be inspired to make our Christmas cards throughout the year.

The new site Rudolph Days Challenge is HERE

Maureen did a fabulous job of running this challenge for so long, for which we are all so grateful.

So here’s my card

This was meant to be a relatively quick and simple make 🙄

The technique challenge from 52 Christmas card Throwdown, which gave me this idea was….

I still had the Uniko stencil out, which I thought would give the effect without too much masking.

I’m trying to use up neglected stash and had some card blanks with a slight texture.🙄🙄

This did not help with the stamping, but I persevered, getting numerous stamp sets out to fit my sections.

Stamps now piled up on my desk from SU, Clarity, Cardio 🙄🙄🙄

I still had to mask off bits, and wipe ink off the stencil after stamping,

 to prevent it transferring.🙄🙄🙄🙄

My final challenge was getting a decent photo in this dim and dismal light! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

This was my first photo attempt, before trying numerous positions and lights.

Do visit these challenges for lots of inspiration and without the eye rolls 😂

Uniko Birthday

Hello, I’m sharing a card I made for the Uniko 12th Birthday celebration.

I don’t have many of Bev’s products yet,
but there’s some fabulous new releases and they’re very tempting.

I used three inks to stencil the geometric background,
then added some layers with coordinating card and enamel stars.

I also stamped the sentiment twice, once in black, then the three colours.

I’m sending this to Bev’s at Uniko Studio to wish her and her team a very Happy Birthday

Have a good weekend

Cats and dogs

 I needed a quick card for a dog lover…

Similar idea to this one…..(8th October)…..

More cats, when I was making baubles….

This came about because of accidents….
I messed up inking the stencil, so added another,
and the sentiment hid a smudge too.
I quite liked it though, so maybe I should mess up more!

Entering the Allsorts challenge (mood board top left, dogs)

Have a great day

Uniko Birthday

Today I'm joining the 10 year celebration of Uniko

I used my Stamparatus so I could hold the work down with a magnet,
then using small brushes inked some bright colours through their stencil,
and I masked off a few parts as I just wanted to use part of it.

I then wanted to scatter some enamel dots for interest,
but instead used them as part of the design
and to hide some places where ink had crept under and blurred the lines.

It's not my best inking effort, but I was still pleased with the result.
I finished with a bold Uniko sentiment

I also noticed a new challenge at Freshly made sketches

this gave me the idea for my NeverBeforeUsed Uniko stencil, so I'm also joining in

NBUS Challenge #35

And because I decided to get inky I'm entering
