Sharing a square card today, using those papers again...sorry, but I love them!
This time I've used incomplete "waste" flowers, from the edges of the paper,
that I've then fussy cut and coloured with Blends, then glued to the edges of the white topper.
Another tip I got from Kim Fee was to not colour the whole flower,
leaving white bits that act as highlights.
You can colour these flowers quite quickly as a result of using this technique,
and kit class members were impressed with the effect, when we had our zoom session.
I've also loved using black mats, and white embossed sentiments on black.
I used Pool Party base, with Coastal Cabana Blends (light and dark),
and added Rhinestones, coloured with the Blends, for added glamour.
I used more "waste" flowers to decorate inside, this time leaving them black and white.
The snail adds fun to the envelope :)
Take care, see you soon ......virtually anyway :(

Great ideas on how to use your "waste" flowers (inside and out). Black mats seem to work with most things - giving lovely contrast and making other colours "pop".

ReplyDeleteI love that tip and your coloring looks beautiful with highlights of the white space. I'm starting to think things do not get better with age unless you are referring to that saying about cheese and wine!
ReplyDeleteWe crafters don't really have 'waste' do we. Love that you've used the partial flowers in this way.
