 I needed a couple of quick cards, so got out these papers again

Fussy cut the vehicle and stamped onto the paper

Added some gears cut from silver card

again stamped onto the paper

nice and easy.....

Car mechanics

 I hope you’re enjoying the holidays.

Today I’ve a birthday card for the Snippets Playground, where the theme is NOT Xmas.

I have quite a few birthday cards to make around Christmas, here’s one…

I used snippets of paper layered up, the car was from another paper snippet.

The letters were die cut from snippets and raised up with a white shadow.

The greeting was stamped on a white snippet and fussy cut.

I added a metal key and spanner, stapled to a die cut cog from another snippet!

 Today I've made a couple of male cards, or at least simple cards for car lovers...

I do like a a sentiment embossed in white on black card.....and the black enamel dots...

my other half has a shirt like that paper....

One for the Guys.........

Mens' cards are so notoriously difficult aren't they!

Stamp set to the rescue.....NEW ....Approaching Perfection......... (155282)....

has some really fun sentiments.

I used lots of snippets of paper for the background, punched some out with the Tailored Tag Punch.

I therefore just have to hop over to the Snippets Playground.....

 

Above is the inside, using up more snippets of paper and card,

below is one of the sayings....so at for these trying times..

Garage Gears

Hello again

Here's another male themed card.......also made for my mum to send,

this time for her son-in-law who is in the garage business.

Here I used the papers , punched out with tailored tag, and laid out into a patchwork.

I stamped the focal point, used a die cut happy birthday,

then added a stamped tool box and oil can.

I again wanted to personalise it, using an alphabet set,

you can see it bottom right of the sentiment panel.....

Pictured above was my first attempt!

It just didn't fit, so plan B and a smaller set.

Tri Fold Shutters for the boys

Hiya

I was asked to do this fancy fold in  class.

I've no idea why it's called a tri fold shutter, but once mastered, it's quite addictive.

It's actually easy to master, plenty of tutorials out there, in different sizes.

I gave them 3 designs for men, with different papers.

Golf theme......some stamping, designer series papers, and die cuts

Above is the design flat, and folded ready to post ....

it becomes a standard size card

Above is one made by a class member, I just loved the extra pop of red,

and how she made the stamped & die cut golfer fit one of the panels.

They also had a garage gears theme here....

I think I used the "stampstodiefor" instructions, but you'll find loads out there.

One class member made a dozen more, all in different themes.

Garage Gears and a key to the car

Hi there
another special guy birthday....
using Garage Gears, the papers, and a key trinket tied on the twine

I die cut a solid red car, then cut it in two,

and separated them, glued on the back of the stamped car, to add a bit of definition.

This is a technique you can use with many dies.

Pop up Slider Card

Hello again

sharing some slider cards today

We did this in my class, having received a fab tutorial from Kim Fee,

using Garage Gears

Cupcakes cake and more cake :)

Above you can see them "open"

below is the parcel version

we stamped the background.....very subtle below, you can hardly see it

kept the magnolia one simple so the flower takes centre stage,

gently coloured with pencil and wink of stella

this is such a fun fold, and you can hide pics and words...

I hope I've shown some of the workings

I used some scrap strips instead of foam pads to raise it up a bit,

and made sure it would fit in the envelope with the tab!

Geared up Garage

Hello again

here with my last ( I think) share from Kim Fee's Retreat

We made a stamp by cutting the gears from fun foam,

and used it for the background

Love the colours and the layers.

We decorated a mini pizza box in a similar way

Makes a nice gift set I think
