Varied vases blooms

Simple Sunday…

Another much loved stamp set, Varied Vases….

I stamped the middle vase, then made masks for all three vases.
I kept the masks on to stamp the flowers.

I then stamped the shelf

Have a great day

Varied Vases

Hello
thanks for stopping by......I hope all is well with you and yours....
Here's a simple Varied Vases card inspired by
Mary Fish and Amanda Bates...........
It's almost impossible to see, but under the vases is an embossed dotty line
which grounds them and acts as a table.
I chose subtle colours for the recipient, and raised the centre one up on foam pads.

Lilac rhinestones adorn the flowers, and inside the sentiment is tamped in two colours,
and the envelope stamped with a favourite of mine,
which I'm surprised hasn't fallen apart, from the amount its' been used!

Wishing you a fabulous Friday, and a lovely weekend

Varied Vases Triple Treat

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by.
I think I am not alone in finding regular blogging more difficult.
There never seems to be enough time, but we do our best don't we?!

Anyway, here's a few quick birthday cards  I made recently
with Varied Vases, a cute stamp set suitable for all.

I used the small (teeny) tulip to stamp a background,
added a strip of DSP (hard to see as its same colour as background),
and a strip of die cut border

love the embossed background, and the dotty ribbon, and strip of glimmer paper

similar with dotty ribbon, glimmer paper, slightly different layout

I enjoyed making these quick simple cards.
Hope you enjoyed them too.
Have a great weekend

Three in a row Varied Vases

Hi there
I hope you are keeping cool....it's unusually hot in the UK!

I'm back to show you some more Varied Vases,
I haven't tired of this set yet, and I've used it a LOT!

I'd like some photo comments if possible....
these were taken by a window...

these were on a black background....
I can't decide which shows best, if any,
all I know is I need to do better!

This last one has the lovely Designer Series Paper as the background,
it is soooooo pretty and shimmers too

I fussy cut a flower to add

Here's the three in a row...

top taken by the window, bottom on a black background...

...and here's a short video for you to enjoy from Stampin' Up!

Varied Vases Paper Pieced

Hello again,how are you?
Well I hope, coping with the weather and all life throws at you?

I'm back with Varied Vases.....
this time some paper piecing using the Punch,
and don't you just love that scallop trim?
The outline and separate infill means oodles of possibilities

The flowers and vases also have outlines and infills...
infinite possibilities....
I outlined the paper edges with a marker pen.
I love the font in this set too.

Enjoy, keep crafting , and see you soon,

Varied Vases with water

Hello again
I'm sorry to be back with Varied Vases
(not sorry really)

Any photographers out there?
I try and improve my pics, I'm not that good.
I had the top one by the window, the bottom one on a black background in front of the window.
Not sure if the black makes it pop more, but the first seems a truer colour?
Any comments / suggestions welcome :)
So, back to the vases......simple outlines with a watery infill (stamped off second generation ink hence the lighter mottly effect)
and the flowers floating in the vases.....what do you think?

I'll show you another version soon....

Waterfall with Varied Vases

This is another Waterfall Card I created for class,
and I also used it for a swap I did with some teamies.
Using Varied Vases again, I used different sized stitched squares,
and chose vase & flowers to fit.

I used a sponge dauber to ink up the solid pattern of the vase,
it gives a lighter touch so that you get a clear image with all the fine detail.

These 2 were experimental rejects!
top - wanted to do horizontal, not vertical, but stuck squares on wrong,
plus didn't like seeing just a bit of the sentiment
bottom - messed up sentiment, stuck one over the top,
the used too much glue on the tab and looked messy....
much prefer the ribbon tied tag pull!

See the other Waterfall class projects.......

Take care, keep well

Varied Vases

Hi there, I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
I am loving this stamp set Varied Vases.

It was inspired by Mary Fish, one of Stampin' Up!'s Million Sales Achiever.
It has so many uses.....my response to someone who says "wish I could just buy one of the stamps instead of a set", is that the set will give so much more versatility than a single stamp,
meaning it'll be out on your desk over and over, creating very different looks.
How often have you bought a single stamp and only used it once or twice?

Anyway, you came to see a card.......

very simple using Soft Sea Foam, a new colour, fine tip glue allowed to dry on vase,
some Twinkle Twinkle DSP, stitched square, scallop circle punched "hello",
die cut leaf,  artisan pearls, twine tie, and did you spot the
stamped scallop border?.....sooooo useful as finishing touch or faux lace trim.
The stamps have outlines and solid or patterned in-fills,
remarkably easy to line up too!

See Page 45 of the Annual Catalogue for more info,
and more inspiration..........don't forget it is an "Ideas Book" too!
Look out for "You Can Make It" sections and order
all you need with one number!

Phew! in the heat I nearly forgot......am popping over to splash in the
Snippets Playground Pond!
Di has a lovely card to share and a great tip too!
(although I'm not sure if it was that clever bear Parsnip's idea ;))
Join in the fun by using "Snippets" of anything on your project,
like here I used snippets of paper and card....
there's a fab prize to win too!

Have fun!
