February Rudolph Day Challenge

A determination to get ahead with my christmas cards this year,

I'm joining the Rudolph Day Challenge, a monthly event on 25th of each month.

(yes, a tad late 😄😄, but you know what they say....better late than never. )

A never before used die won in Pixie's Crafty Workshop, (thanks Di )
a lovely frame with the die cut words attached.
As all my elements are using never before used stuff, (schtuff), I can also enter this challenge.....

I decided to build a small scene, with fir trees, and a teeny deer.
The photos show the imperfections on the gold foil card, but it's not so bad in real life.

I added a few gems for sparkle, then added touches of wink of stella.

We had a lovely bike ride today in the sunshine at our favourite place on Romney Marsh.
A much needed tonic, even saw some new born lambs......ahhhhh.

Have a good weekend

Happy Christmas to you and yours

Hello again,
Here's a card I made for our Mum,
it's meant to represent mysELF and my two sisters....

I wanted to make her smile, having lost her husband, our dad, in January, and it did the trick.
I think the sentiment fitted as well. Something that can be difficult under these circumstances.

I used Beautiful Boughs as well as #Elfie stamp sets.
Above is a close up of the pines and some details.

I then did a similar one for my hairdresser.......
this time there were four elves and some presents hiding in the boughs

Such a cute set, and so adaptable.
I managed to fussy cut so that the one hiding his face appears behind the big parcel.
Lots of die cutting and fussy cutting but I really had fun with these,
and it's a great chance to use scraps or snippets of card.

I'm entering a few challenges this time, all these blogs are fab and full of inspiration.
My favourite Snippets Playground can be found HERE, where the theme is snippets.
Then Hazel runs an anything goes challenge HERE.
Allsorts also have an anything goes challenge HERE.

So, here we are on Christmas Eve.
May you have a peaceful christmas, with everything you wish for,
and with special memories of those you've loved and lost.
Happy Christmas everyone

lots of love

Spirited Snowmen - how not to....

Hi there
thought I'd make a few more snow friends..
almost finished a pinky version, decided to try the long swirl for the "ice",
managed to get ink from the block, right across their faces,
tried to hide it with white gel pen,
chucked it in the bin!

here's one that did make it to the done pile....
watercoloured some "ice" this time :)

So Many Stars white

Hello again
You're going to see how much I love this set...
So Many Stars

Decided to make a christmas card this time.
Using the same black and heather base, I die cut white stars this time,
glimmer paper adds sparkle

I managed to angle a swirl around the "joy",
and added a heather star to tie it together

That's one more for the box.....about 99 to go!

July Rudolph Day

Hello there, it's the 25th of the month again, and that means it's
RUDOLPH DAY !
However.........this month it will not start until 1st August,
click on the link above for more info....
Join the Challenge to post your christmas makes this month,
be in the chance to win a prize, and get ahead with your christmas stash....

This set Mistletoe Season caught my eye in the Annual Catalogue.
I do love mistletoe, and I do love versatility, and this has it all.

Some lovely images, great sentiments, and the option to fussy cut,
or leave as simple one layer cards, great for posting at an expensive time of year!

I added Pearls and some of the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper

Here I stamped a double layer, added some fronds, a Rhinestone, and fussy cut a bow

This one was some swags or branches, plus a fussy cut bow, and some punched bells,
"winked" with gold and clear .
The "jingle bells " coordinate with the 1/2" Circle Punch.......
we all know how hard it is to cut a circle!

Here's some close up's on the details

Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce provide the greens,
reds are Cherry Cobbler and Poppy Parade.

Happy Rudolph Day

Rudolph Day February

Hi there
Happy Rudolph Day!

It's Rudolph Day again.......25th of the month,
and that means another christmas card....

I used Merry Mice again....

and watercolour pencils....

different papers .....

this last one shows how I cut an A4 sheet lengthwise....
the mice trio lends itself to a wide card......and sometimes we use half an A4 for a tent style...
just to show it in a different light....as a half fold but wide instead of tall....
I'm rambling...

so.....do go to the Rudolph Day Challenge
and see everyones efforts, and say Hi...
and it's a special dedication to Scrappy Mo's Mum....

Have a GREAT weekend

Hang Your Stockings

My posts are less frequent at the moment, but packed full of pictures,
so I do hope you enjoy them.

Now, you may think I've spent HOURS in the Craft Room,
but you'd be wrong..........the beauty of the new products from the Winter Catalogue,
is that they are so quick and easy to put together,
and I have been absolutely FILLED with inspiration!

I've not even used any where near all of the elements in this Bundle.

So, sit back with a cuppa, and enjoy....

Liked the sentiment as a 'hanger', very sparkly in real life
----

Nice n simple, glitter snowflakes inlaid........these snowflakes are soooooo useful
----

like the textures the overlays give on top of a plain die cut,
had to add a touch of sparkle
----

liked the concept but not my execution......meant to be for a family, .............
hanging on the stairs.............
....but size was wrong
----

These are the Notelets you can get in a pack.....
ideal for xmas cards.
Used the red glitter embossing powder!
Very sparkly, but does shed a little, and would use red ink next time....
to hide the bits I missed!
This powder is quick to melt, and best heated from underneath imho.
----

The tree and holly are in the Thinlits too......
I should have inked the stamp a tad better!
----

Hopefully I'll have another bundle to share soon,
so watch this space!
