Joyful Holly trio trial

Hi there, it’s Christmas in July, and phew it’s hot here, but it’s a great time to get ahead..

I saw a sketch challenge, then a one layer, and finally colouring.
Here’s what happened…

Stamped and embossed with gold powder.
First up coloured with SU Blends

Second is LuminArte….in my very old stash

Lastly, pencils and blender pen

I did the LuminArte first, and I wasn’t happy, so I tried pencils with a blender pen,
(blend to even out the lines, except again I wasn’t happy.)
I thought my favourite was the Blends, but when I looked again,
I like the sheen of the LuminArte, so I just need more practice!

Finally I added red rhinestones.

Because I think it’s the neatest, I’m taking the Blends one to the following challenges…

ABC Christmas  One layer

Addicted to stamps #496 (make your mark, colouring)

CAS on Sunday #313 (Christmas)

Lil red wagon #815 (Christmas)

Have a peaceful Sunday

Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments

Take care and see you soon

Ornamental Envelopes

Only one more sleep......but have you been good?!
I'm sure you have, ................
in fact most of us haven't had the chance to be anything but!
With this lockdown we can't do much or go anywhere,
but lets be thankful for what we do have.....each other.

This card was inspired by the lovely Sarn from Stampingforpleasure.
I love how the holly hangs from the top.
I added a small bauble, which I coloured and added some wink.
That is from the stamp set Ornamental Envelopes.

I just love that sentiment from Merry Christmas to all.

Here's the envelope, but you can see it's a great set for your cards too.

I hope you have the best christmas you can,
take care
keep safe
sleep tight
and "NO PEEKING!"

Joyful Holly batch baking

I don't know if it's the same for you, but I never seem to have enough cards at this time of year.

So, needs must, and some batch making of cards using the Stamparatus.

I don't like them exactly the same so different coloured layers,

slightly different positions of sentiment,

some gold embossing of the outline (only did a few as its more time consuming),

and hey presto, quick smart.
The Stamparatus really helps here for the two-step- stamping of Joyful Holly,
and for lining them up perfectly.
Some Wink of Stella, and Crystal effect Glaze to decorate.

Enjoy your day

Joyful Holly with texture

 Hello again,

Another quick and simple card using Joyful Holly.

I like this two step stamp set.....stamp the outline, stamp the infill.

You can see I did the leaves, which are all attached, and then the berries are separate,

and I love the "shine" gap........little things.

This is a great one to do using the stamparatus..........perfect every time,

and wonderful for batch baking, which I shall be doing :)

I the ran it through Tasteful Texture embossing folder....and I love it!
Some gold foil layering adds a touch of class don't you think?
The inspiration for this was from staceymarsh.co.uk

I think I'll add a little sparkle to the berries next time.
Enjoy your Sunday
