Caroling Mice

 Hi there

Today’s card is using Caroling Mice.

This is a cute group of carol singers, which I coloured using watercolour pencils.

I went around the edge of them all with pale blue, and a bit of “glow” with yellow.

I wanted a few music notes, but wanted them to be subtle, so used blue ink.

I hope you can hear them singing!

The funeral for our late Queen Elizabeth was incredibly moving,
filling our hearts with sadness, love, hope, and pride.
The singing of the choir and congregation almost lifted the roof.

I know my little choir can’t do that, but hope they make you smile :)

Rudolph day is gnome for the holidays

Time for the Rudolph Day Challenge (25th of each month)

And Christmas Kickstart Challenge #66, home for the holidays.

This gnome has definitely gone home, to his toadstool and village.

I used Storybook Gnomes paper for the background to the Aspen Tree Die.
Can you see the little blue gnome with his lamp?
I used some fussy cut mushrooms and grass to add a bit of detail.

Have a hoot with little piggy

 Today’s card was inspired by

Once Upon a Time Challenge #2 Charlotte's Web

Two Old Bats Anything Halloween

You may think I’ve gone a bit batty, but I saw the Charlotte’s Web ideas and immediately thought of using a new to me set This Birthday Piggy, with an old set Have a Hoot.
This little piggy is part of a special perfect partners promotion, where you can get a special set of dies, through September only.
I then chanced on the CAS challenge for the layout, and the TwoOldBats for hallowe’en.
Phew! That’s a lot of waffle for a simple card!

I used my Stamparatus to get a nice black outline,
also because I used a marker pen to ink the partial image of the branch and spider.
I gently coloured with pencils, and a blender pen.
This is one spider that I’m not actually afraid of!

Aspen Dies meet Storybook Gnomes

Today’s was inspired by a colour challenge.

I used my Aspen Dies for the first time (NBUS)

Along with the Storybook Gnomes paper, which includes some cute animals,

Which I fussy cut, using the deer from an edge as if he was sitting down.

(His legs were missing but no deer were harmed during this process;) )

I never like wasting any paper haha.

The colours were Cream, Kraft and Aqua.
I used aqua to stamp the snowflakes and sentiment.

I added some sequins, and wink of Stella for some sparkle.

I’m entering these challenges

Sending Smiles across the miles

 Hi there

I'm back today with some flowers of a different kind,

using Sending Smiles stamp set and Sending dies.

I chose bright sunny colours, Mango melody, Highland heather, Gorgeous grape, Granny apple green.

I added die cut flowers to the stamped leaves, did an extra mango one, which I moulded a bit, and added dimensionals to raise it up...

.....added a Glossy Dot to one flower centre, and diecut the sending, stamped the other.

There are loads of sentiments to go with the large "sending".

I'm sending this over to the Allsorts Challenge, where the theme is flowers.

Do hop over to their blog HERE for more inspiration.

More Hues of Happiness

 Happy Saturday!

More of these lovely papers and stamps…..

First up an idea from Tracy Elsom of paper craft with me.com,
Simply using one of the papers as the main attraction…

The next one is from Susan Simpson of craftyduckydoodah.blogspot.com
(Love the name!)

A simple idea, but I think really pretty, and shows some of the huge amount of versatility.

Enjoy your weekend

Hues of Happiness

Hues of Happiness is a lovely bright inspiring versatile set of papers.

I enjoyed doing a class with this set, the dies cut some of the images.

The new Annual Catalogue provides inspiration such as this design…

I love the die that cuts out this pattern revealing what’s underneath.
I fussy cut some of the flowers too, from snippets of paper left over from another design,
and cut the sentiment from another snippet of white.

I then took a simple scalloped white mat from a snippet and created another simple layout.
There’s lots more ideas out there, which proves how much we love this set.

There’s also coordinating glossy dots which are so pretty,
and I added some natural twine too.

Here’s just two of the many I’ve made so far…

I’m entering the Snippets Playground challenge, a new one starts today,
with more super prizes as long as you use up some of your snippets.
Have a great day
