Rudolph Day January 2025

 I’m just in time to enter this months Rudolph Day Challenge,

the first for 2025, and a reminder to crack on with this year’s Christmas cards.

I’m using a new to me AALL and Create stamp oh christmas tree.

It’s tiny, and super cute.

I stamped and coloured the tree, then stamped part of the trunk of the other tree, 

and it’s star, and fussy cut, mounting it on some paper.

It’s a simple layout, but at least that’s one for the box.

I had to photograph it on my dirty door mat, to catch the light….

yes, the sun shone today!

I’m taking this to MY NBUS, as it’s this stamps first inking

Hellebore

 Hello crafty friends 

I hope you are safe and well, despite the challenges worldwide..

Today I’m sharing signs of Spring, although Hellebores give joy through winter too.

I was a lucky prize winner at Allsorts in December 

I needed a lot of birthday cards for January, and like many of you my mojo has dipped,

and using a new set like this is also a challenge for me.

I always try to use new things at least once before adding them to my stash,

so this was my attempt…

My friend likes blues and purples, so I used artistic license here,

decoupaged the flower and added a gold gem, and gold and clear wink of stella.

I also used a stencil to add some dotty detail.

I tried to emphasise the word “flower”, but mischief mojo messed it up,

so I added a hand cut version on top.

I’m sure my friend will appreciate it was hand made if nothing else 😂

I’m taking this to the following Challenges:

I accidentally discovered there’s a limit on the number of blogs you “follow”,

 that appear on your reading list,

so I went through my list and deleted some inactive ones.

I had realised that some blog posts were not appearing…..who knew?

Another For The Books

 Hi again, I’m sharing another from For The Books set (SU)

Along with a Lavinia cat stamp called Mimsy.

This time I made a pocket on the front for the bookmark.

You can see the ribbon attached, poking out above on the right.

I left the card front black and white, but coloured the bookmark.

I also decorated the inside and the envelope.

For the books

 Brrrrrrrr it’s cold outside, but not as cold as some parts.

It’s a bit brighter, which is a good thing.

I treated myself to a new Stampin’ Up! set called For The Books.

The dies are completely different to the stamps, which I think works well in this case.

There’s a die that looks like a comb, which makes the little tassel!

On my card I used the teeny bookmark die to go “inside” the book.

My inspiration was from “Cards by Juliet”, who made a bookmark with a card.

I used the dies to make a book with, then made a bookmark, 

and stamped books on shelves, made with a blend pen.

A made an embossed pocket and attached a ribbon to the bookmark.

I dug out some really old cat sets, one is SU, You little furball, the other doesn’t even have its packaging.

I fussy cut the tiny cats on the card and bookmark.

Allsorts are having a matching pairs challenge #814.

So my card and bookmark qualify, but I also decorated the envelope, 

although I don’t expect extra marks 😂.

I’m also taking this to the Snippets Playground, where a birthday party is being held.

In the office

 I used some more Gummiapan dies for this one…

Love all the tiny details…

I certainly don’t miss the days of commuting to London every day.

I’m lucky to live in a rural area, but it was an hour’s train journey each way back in the day.

Musical blast …from the past

 Today has a musical theme….some cute dies from Gummiapan, and an Alex Siberia sentiment.

I used a subtle embossing folder to give the white card texture.

I coloured the guitar and cassette player with blend pens.

Can you see the tiny cassette tape?

I have most of my stamp sets on shelves, so I can look for certain details.

This is where I found the music notes!
