Happy Birthday Mum and Dad!

Mum is 80 today, and Dad is 80 tomorrow,
and we've had a lovely few days together.
Mum's card is Creative Elements in Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party & Rose Red,
blingy because she's worth it!
Dad's is The Open Sea and Motorcycle ,
in Wisteria, Pool & Island Indigo...
Was able to use the lush ruffled ribbon on both,
and really enjoyed making these,
partly because I had some quality time to spend on them for a change....
and time to reflect on how lucky we are to have them....
special cards for special people xxx

Sweet Sister

working a bit backwards blogging-wise!...so much to catch up on!
Bit late, but here's the one I did for my little Sis.....
think I cased this colour combo from Monica Gayle?....correct me if I'm wrong!
needless to say this is a combo I will defo do again!
perfect plum, crumb cake, early espresso,
vinatge wallpaper embossing,
"creative elements".....got to be an all time fave....and the en francais background,
which you will also see a lot of!
in fact I'm currently working on my Mum's...ssshhhh...so watch this space!

Happy Birthday Ken!

We all know how difficult men's cards can be......
was inspired by the "Ain't love grand" Hostess set...
and the Spice Cake papers....

The "clouds" are using the cupcake punch....it's amazing how many uses you can come up with!
Here's a peek inside.....using one of my fave "flight of the butterfly" sentiments
hope you had a "grand" birthday! x

chair socks!

This'll make you smile!
If you didn't think I was mad, you will now!
I made these socks on my sewing machine.....
and for those still puzzled?!?!?!
I'm so paranoid about scratching my new floor,
and the pesky sticky pads kept falling off....
so couldn't think of what better to do!
More sensible suggestion will be gratefully received!

Cupcakes

My first "shop" of Cupcakes!
Using the Cupcake stamp set and Punch,
apologies to whoever's idea I used....
I end up looking at so many on the internet,I forget!
Note to self: make notes!
I did this one for the lovely Louise,
my Bobbin Lace Teacher ( see http://www.the-craft-corner.co.uk/).
Note how I cut a slit for the "cherry" (another idea I copied),
and then did the same for the choccie flakes.

Clean 'n Simple

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post eek!
In case you're wondering.....no I haven't hidden in my new space since then! I wish!
In fact I'm running well behind with everything......I'm sure I used to be organised?!?
Wanted to share this one, coz the colour coach helped with this cocktail of yummy colours...

Rose red, elegant eggplant, baja breeze....
Posy Puch stamp set, and Fancy Flower punch et voila!
I can do clean and simple yeehaa! (probably won't last long tho teehee!) xxx
