Hiya
Hope all is well with you and yours.
The usual mixture here!
My Dad's in Hospital again, but getting better.
Me and him went away recently, and we hadn't been there half an hour,
Himself slipped on the stairs and cracked a back rib, ouch!
Not quite the "break" we were hoping for!
Went to a Commemoration yesterday, for the Mum of a dear friend.
We are looking after a dog for the week, and she makes us smile the whole time ,
so she has brought the 'life balance' we needed!
Anyhow, you just came to see what I made didn't you,
so here goes......
I just love love love the Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste,
so light and fluffy, like a lovely soft mousse......
I mixed different colour inks with small amounts
(it goes a long long way)
and spread it, like butter on toast.
It is soooooo easy!
It really doesn't matter if the colours mix (try to avoid muddy colours though ;) )
I like the effect.
If anyone's new to ruffling ribbon........this is one of the first things I learnt with SU.....
works well with seam binding, or anything you can see the threads in.
Fray the end, and grab a strand from near the centre. (Tweezers help)
Pull gently, ruffling as you go ...............
do not cut the ribbon off the real until you have the desired length......
otherwise you just pull the thread right through and have to start again.....
guess how I know?!
I used the Label Me Pretty to add a simple decoration,
so that the background is the main event.
Have a great weekend,
I'll be back with lots more pasted things if you can bear it!

TOTALLY AWESOME colourful embossing paste card mate.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your Dad. Such a shame. Hope he makes a good recovery. Sounds like you're enjoying the dog sitting.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Wonderful embossing paste card - love the colours. I used embossing paste yesterday for the first time in ages and intend to use it much more - I had forgotten how much I love it! Thank you for the tutorial on ribbon ruffling, I have never done that and I am sorry your Dad is hurt - I hope he recovers soon, bless him! xxx
