Vibrant Fragrant Layers

 Hi how are you?

Some vibrant cards today, to celebrate spring….

Firstly using  lime twist card, with inserts from coastal cabana.

Secondly, made with a Blueberry Bushel card base….

This last one was inspired by Emma Goddard, Coastal Crafter,
Simply stamped around the edges and coloured with Blends,
adding an old SU sentiment…

Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments

Take care and see you soon

Fragrant Layers on white

 Spring is almost here!

I just looked up when it officially begins…..

Astronomical spring is on 20th March, when the sun crosses the celestial equator.

Meteorological spring begins 1st March for weather tracking.

Anyway, hopefully these cards will celebrate better weather to come…

I said I’d be back with Fragrant Layers from Stampin’ Up!
I die cut the cluster from a white card topper, stamped onto a smaller scrap,
which I then placed behind. I did add some decorative dots to this one.

A darker orange…

This one uses just die cuts from different coloured card snippets.

In the set is this label die, to which I attached some white twine, coloured with a blend pen.
I think this card gives the appearance of being coloured in, but it’s layered die cuts.

This one was cased from Su Mohr Aromas and art,

I just loved the colours she used.

Here I die cut a shape, then die cut the cluster from it.

Die cuts were then placed behind to add the colour.

My mind is still full of the possibilities, so watch this space!

Have a great day.

Embossing for Allsorts with Fragrant Layers

Following yesterday’s post, I’m sharing a quick card that used the same set

and it was still on my stamping platform…

I embossed the first layer with SU Ornate Floral.
then fussy cut the spray and individual flowers…

This one is going into
Can you handle the pressure (cyhtp) (embossing but no die cuts except the sentiment)

A happy accident with Fragrant Layers

Stamping Sensations is asking for our favourite stamps,

and I’m sure I can’t be the only one who finds this difficult 😃.

I have a few favourite sentiments, but my favourite stamps tend to be new ones 😂

This is a new to me stamp and die set from SU, Fragrant Layers.

I watched a video by Sara Sayers (KissKreative) just after I’d bought it, and I’ve been hooked since!

I got more inspiration from other SU demonstrators such as Patty Bennett.

For today I’m just sharing one of my cards which started off as a mishap….

I cut a card blank, then scored it in the wrong place….it then stayed on the side for a while.
Whilst playing with this set I was using all sorts of colours.
This flower spray was stamped with my Stamparatus then coloured using the infill stamp.
I then stamped the individual flower stamp several times and fussy cut them.
Here’s just some of the many snippets….nothing wasted here!

I layered them on top of the spray , stamped the sentiment and dots (tiny stamp in the same set),
and added some gems.
I then took it to my paper stash and found a sheet that complimented, and also solved my card blank error!
I cut it to fit the inside and was still able to stamp a readable sentiment inside.
I may start using my subtle older papers inside, as a way of making space for new ones  ðŸ˜‰

I could not believe how many different looks you can get from this set,
and I fear I might bore you with it.
It’s certainly my favourite at the moment,

so I’m taking it to Stamping Sensations  (favourite stamp or AG)

Snippets Playground #526 as I used lots of white snippets, and a paper one.

My NBUS  #83 (never before used)
