Marbled Butterfly

Happy Sunday to you....
hope you have had a lovely weekend.

I enjoyed the garden yesterday,
so nice to be able to work on it in the sunshine for a change,
it reminded me why I love gardening so much,
to see all the new growth, spring flowers, and surrounded by bird song,
plus a blackbird following me around, awaiting the odd worm or two.

Here's a last card from my marbling session,
unfinished because I couldn't decide on a sentiment,
but will be handy to have in my stash.

I know it's quite simple, but I wanted to share how,
if you have a background you are not sure what to do with....
placed behind a die cut image, it just peeps through ...
ok, so it looks better in real life !

Have a good week
Lesley

  1. Black is SUCH a useful card "colour" to have. You used it to perfection here to highlight the shaving foam background. xxx

  2. I like the simply marbling on this expansive black background. When it comes time for a greeting I think a small one in gold or silver would really pop. Perfect!

  3. You know, often times, simple cards are the best! Shaving foam background? Wow! It looks great!
