I had an idea in mind for my Sister's card,
as she'd shown interest in a recent arty inky card.
This is totally different, but I'm glad I had a 'play'.
I started off using some retiring inks,
using Gorgeous Grunge splats for the sky
and Timeless Textures for the 'grass'
but nah....colours too dark and me no likey,
so that was binned.
So I tried gold embossing powder for the flowers
(a sale-a-bration set),
added some ink....
nah.....binned that one too!
went pink purpley bluey this time,
stamping splats first, then flowers.
I then coloured in the flowers to make them deeper,
using wink of stella for some sparkle.
I then went a bit mad splatting ink drops from an acrylic block
with a water filled aqua brush and some gold wink of stella.
I certainly learned a lot from this playtime,
most got binned but hey ho,
the main thing is I had FUN!
She said she liked it, so that's a nice bonus!
Happy Days

It certainly looks as if you had lots of fun and you card is lovely. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteIt is always a good thing to play with techniques and ideas and a lovely card has resulted from the time spent. Not sure I could bear to bin the pieces that didn't quite 'work' because I always feel they will 'come in useful one day'!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant result and soooo arty! Jan xx
ReplyDeleteGood for you for having fun and good for you for not giving up but keeping on keeping on. The end results came out as a wonderful card.
