October Rudolph Day Challenge

Stubbornly refuse to miss the
Rudolph Day Challenge

DESPITE
technology problems!

Isn't it always the way, that when you have a few spare minutes....
technology lets you down!

We have a very very poor signal here, but I also had problems
seeing the pictures on Blogger.

BUT, with some extra time in bed, I googled it......well, when you can't sleep.....
and decided to turn off my router and turn it back on again.
Hooray....it worked!

How many times have you tried patches, fixes, hours of fretting and fuming,
only to find the switch off and switch on normally does the trick?!!!

Anyhoooooo
Rant over!

Made a card at club, using the cute bird stamp,
attempted to colour it like a Robin,
die cut and placed on mirror card at a jaunty angle.

Trouble is, my jaunty angle is so jaunty you can't really see it!
The mirror card doesn't photo well either!

Hey Ho
It's been fun chatting with you,
and wishing you a
HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY!

lots of love

Nature Sings

Here's some masculine cards
from a set in the main catalogue that could easily be overlooked

Stampin' Up!'s "Nature Sings"

It could be for christmas, or any other time in my book.
Team it up with wood DSP
or the "Sheet Music" background stamp

I love the detail

Have a great weekend

Teddy Bears

Hiya
I made this for a friend who is obsessed  loves teddies :)

Another kind friend gave me the lovely wooden stamp.

I added some subtle colour, and a few bits of decoupage
(I made my own by stamping extra and fussy cutting)

I Hope you enjoyed your weekend

Reflections

I thought I'd shared this already,
but I can't find it, so here goes....

This was a class I did on the "Reflection" or "Mirror" technique

You can use lots of things to stamp on to make the mirror image,
here's a few:
stamp-a-ma-jig; actetate; clear packaging; the back of a clear stamp (flat side);
acrylic block.
My favourite is the stamp-a-ma-jig

Use sticky notes to create masks

note the goose facing the other way.....done by using s-a-m-j and filling
in any missing detail with a fine liner

Use scrap paper to mask off areas for landscapes etc

It's a bit faint but the trees are 'reflected' in the 'water'

Lastly in an actual mirror
(you may have seen this image a while back)

They really enjoyed experimenting with the various methods,
hope you enjoyed looking too!
