Seaside Spray

 Hiya, was looking for something in the SOON-TO-RETIRE Spring Mini........

and saw some nice projects with Friends Are Like Seashells and decided to case one....

It's not something I do often, but SU catalogues are a great source of inspiration,

so do give it a go with your catalogues.

The Seaside Spray card was dry embossed with that gorgeous folder,

 then I gently sponged white ink on the raised parts.

I stamped a shell background on So Saffron card,

and added some twine and more shells.

Fathers Day a Cut Above the news

 Hello again, thanks for popping by as I've had a little break from 

(aka keep running out of time for).... posting here........

I almost forgot to make a card for father-in-law.......so had to whip up a fairly simple

(one of those "simple" cards that takes way longer than intended)

Found some newsprint paper pertaining to plants and gardens as the background,

then some stamping and colouring..........on the inside too.

Hoping for some crafty time so I can make more to share........

meantime enjoy the little things and do more of what makes you happy :)

Friends are like Seashells......

Loving this set..........love the papers, stamps, dies and embossing folder.

It's an interesting set..........die cut, stamp, then dry emboss and woohoo what an effect!

The white background layer is embossed with the same coordinating folder.

So pretty in real life, especially with the gems, and I can't tell you how pretty the papers are,

double sided and useful for all occasions.

So Sweet of You

I hope you're not sick of these......this time the strawberry background,

with stitched panels in Shaded Spruce and white.

I stamped the background in shaded spruce, then added a stitched circle and punched strawberries.

 

A favourite sentiment white embossed on black and gems add the finishing touch.

Cut Strawberries

More strawberries.....this time with a fancy fold.

Cut away a section of the front of the card blank.........

........then decorate, adhering them at the base only, leaving them peeping over the strip,

then add a few gems.

 

I wasn't sure about leaving the backside as is, but the paper is still pretty that side,

and it doesn't hurt to show the "workings".

I just love this paper.....please can we have some more Stampin' Up! ?

The colours are lush, good enough to eat.

Strawberry just for you

 Who loves strawberries? Me!.........especially our sweet Kentish ones......

Here's a sweet card I found on Pinterest..........love that paper, wish I'd got more....

would be lovely if SU got us some more!

Did a simple strip of Shaded Spruce card between the two papers, added a circle,

some elements stamped or from the paper and fussy cut or punched.

Added a stitched rectangle and a few gems.

Sailing by.....

Today's card uses Sailing Home and Colourful Seasons.

The background is a designer series paper, a silver foil stitched circle sits under the scene.

Deckchair gives a restful feel, I love how the wooden part is separate from the fabric in the stamp set.

A few seagulls fly by and the greeting was stamped in Navy on Balmy Blue card and fussy cut.
