Rings of Love for Rudolph Day

It's the 25th of the month and that means it's the Rudolph Day Challenge again.

A good nudge to make some christmas cards :)

I love the Rings of Love paper, and also love fussy cutting,
so of course I had to snip out some of the cute houses!

The soft colours can be used for any occasion, so by keeping it clean and crisp,
adding some glittery snow, and a sentiment, why not christmas !?

Loved cutting little trees and bushes to add dimension!

Used Itty Bitty sentiment to go with the itty bitty pics!

Hop over to the Rudolph Day Challenge for more inspiration!
(If it's late in posting, as Maureen aka scrappy Mo, has her plate full, do try the following day)

Meadows (3)

 Hello,

here's the result of yesterday's inky mess....plus some even more inky mess!

I added a centre to the already-inked flower, and added some ink to the leaf/branch.

I embossed a piece of white with Timeworn Type 3D folder, but any folder would probably work.
I then tried adding ink randomly but gently.....except it was too pale, so I got another ink out,
Coastal Cabana.........except it was quite juicy, so the result was a bit rough, but I kinda like it!

Another tag tied to the "bunch".......I glued 3 layers of tag to make it more solid.
It's lovely and bright in real life.

I may well be back with more, as it was fun playing with these,
and I have lots of snippets left over!

Meadows (2)

 Hiya

From the Meadows Dies again....this time a "Twofer" or two for one.

I placed this die on a piece of white and inked it over, leaving the negative image.

I inked the butterfly, placed it on dimensionals, and added the cute tag

If you come back tomorrow, you'll see what I did with the resulting "twofer" inked flower.

Meadows (1)

Hi there, my next few posts are for Di at Pixie's  Crafty Workshop,

as I sent her some die cuts to play with, from the Meadow Dies, which are florals and butterflies,

and I promised to come up with some ideas.

First up using one of the Split Card Texture Dies that I've not used before,

although any detail die would work.

I cut it twice to cover the piece of card, placed it over some paper from Rings of Love DSP,

then placed one of the Meadow die cuts on top, and added some iridescent pearls.

Do visit over the next couple of days for some inky versions!

I'm going to enter the NBUS challenge as this is the first time I've used this die.

Paper Weaving

Hi there, I hope you're keeping cool where you are, as it's super hot here in Kent.

Luckily I'm in front of a fan in my craft room, to share a card for the

Snippets Playground Challenge #434.

Stampin' Up! shared a fun paper weaving video recently,

and I just happened to have some paper snippets on my desk from Abigail Rose.

The photo doesn't really show how pretty the papers are,
in soft shades like crumb cake, petal pink, and smoky slate.
The "twist" is to chop the ends to create random angled tails.
I had a simple printed sentiment in my snippets box, that fit perfectly.

Take care where ever you are, and enjoy your day.

Card Kits

A while ago Stampin' Up! had a special offer on their Kits,

so I took advantage and got some for my class to enjoy.

We avid crafters don't always think of using kits, but these are fab for quick cards,

they have lovely details and come with nearly everything you need.

This is Blow Out The Candles..

Love the colours...

the sparkle.....

laser cut details and cute envelopes.

This one came with all the card elements,
an ink spot, clear block, foam pads, glue dots, and stamp set, all presented in a nice box.
The kits for sale is always changing, so keep checking the website for new ones.

There's always bits left over, so I had a mini Raffle for those,
and the Ink Spot, Block, and Stamp set for a bit of extra fun!

True Love DSP

Remember the True Love Designer Series Paper?

Lots of lush black and white designs..

Coloured and fussy cut the flowers, and if I remember rightly, I scored my card blank incorrectly,
so, there's always a way of fixing things (nearly always!)

So I used an offcut of paper for a strip down the side...

Love the stitched dies, and these scalloped rectangles are cute.
I sometimes stamp a variety of white embossed sentiments on black card
for future use, so that was in my stash.
It's tricky to get a nice clear white, without flecks,
so it's worth doing a batch when you have the patience!

Have a great day!

Welcome in the woods

A simple stamping card today using Welcoming Woods,
that I think I purchased when it retired.

I love the detail in SU stamps, this one is great for christmas scenes too.
I stamped the deer from Grassy Grove, using the Stamparatus to get a good clear image

Here's my simple christmas version

I had to add some glitter :)

I gently sponged the background with pink and blue.

Have a great weekend
