Computer clip art to the rescue…..resized it

 

Added some background paper

Shooting star and sentiment plus enamel stars

I think it made him smile.

March Rudolph Day in the Snippets Playground

 I only just realised it was the 25th of the month again…..so soon?!

Luckily here’s one I made earlier…..apologies for the poor photos.

A fancy fold, cut on the diagonal with a tri fold.

This was great for using up papers, and lots of snippets too.

I even cut berries from bits of paper left over,

And pine cones, leaves and sentiments from snippets of card.

So of course I’m entering the

Snippets Playground

and

Had a ripping time…..

Hello, popping by with some torn paper…..

Did an online class with Emma Goddard and came up with this version 

using some much loved leftover paper from Hues of Happiness.

 

Some people don’t like tearing paper, but I do, it adds texture.

I like the layers and ended up making another….

Dainty Delight on vellum

This was another idea using vellum, where you can mute a background,

and / or make a focal point stand out more.

 

This paper was definitely flower power bold and bright!

From old stash I thought it (the paper) was great for showing off some of the

Dainty Delight bundle.

Saying Thanks

 I just love the Stampin’ Up! Kits, for speed, ease and design.

This is a favourite ….

I took this kit on a recent trip in our motor home.

We didn’t go far, and stayed on a farm near Arundel, which was relaxing and fun.

I left a card for the owners…..love the envelopes too!

Thanks to all my family and friends who sent me birthday cards, truly blessed.

Love Cats with Snippets, Allsorts and Jugs……

 I needed a quick card for a special person, and Love Cats was my first thought,

possibly because it was on my desk and she likes cats :)

I don’t often manage to enter the Allsorts Challenge in time,

but it fitted my project purrrrrrrfectly, being four legged friends :)

The Melon Mambo ink looks very red instead of pink.

I was struck by the colour challenge at Just Us Girls 

My take on the colours were Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and black.

I love this combination and may well use it again.

Apart from the colours, can you spot the difference?

I made two, so I had one for another special person, and I liked the simple design,

which was fairly easy to replicate the second time :) and the Stamparatus helped.

I’m also entering the Snippets Playground Challenge,

and here’s my white snippets…..

Embossed on vellum

Today’s offering uses vellum and an embossing folder Leaf Fall

 

I stamped Soft Seedlings leaf and fussy cut

Mounted on Bermuda Bay, decorated the inside and envelope.

Soft Seedlings on vellum

  I recently held a class showing ways of using vellum.

I first saw this idea on Bonnie Klass’s blog, 

she has many examples of double stamped vellum, all beautiful designs.

I stamped on one side and then on the other side stamped and embossed with white powder.

Added a frame over the top and sentiment strip embossed in white too.
