Love Cats with Snippets, Allsorts and Jugs……

I needed a quick card for a special person, and Love Cats was my first thought,

possibly because it was on my desk and she likes cats :)

I don’t often manage to enter the Allsorts Challenge in time,
but it fitted my project purrrrrrrfectly, being four legged friends :)
The Melon Mambo ink looks very red instead of pink.

I was struck by the colour challenge at Just Us Girls
My take on the colours were Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and black.
I love this combination and may well use it again.

Apart from the colours, can you spot the difference?

I made two, so I had one for another special person, and I liked the simple design,
which was fairly easy to replicate the second time :) and the Stamparatus helped.

I’m also entering the Snippets Playground Challenge,
and here’s my white snippets…..
Do pop over to this fun challenge, there’s not many rules and lots of mischief!

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Then inside……made me chuckle

Mum and Dad Graffiti

I hope they saw the funny side of these "graffiti" Tee Shirt cards.....
considering they are 85 years young!

Mum is one day older than Dad, so I always try to make
sort of matching cards....

I think the Designer Tee set is so cute,
then I embossed the "wall"
and stamped using various sentiments and colours

I threw in a few "I love you"'s.....we don't say it enough....

I hope they have many more happy returns of the day

Tasty Truck secret

Here's a fun card I made for a great nephew
using the Tasty Truck set from sale-a-bration

I used some fun old paper, did a bit of decoupage,
and named the truck after his Mum's cake business

can you see I cut a 'window' to hide the secret.....

.............little cakes

this is one of the fun sentiments

and I finished inside using Brushwork Alphabet (good for unusual names eg welsh )
and Endless Birthday Wishes

Have Fun!

Special Day

Today a Nephew turns 18, a very special day for a special man.

I wanted to make something different,
so started with the idea of a spinner card.

I had a light bulb moment of adding two circles to make a figure eight

and for the 1 I decided to cut a strip and make a shaker section with fancy acetate and sequins

It took some time to plan and make

more than a few attempts to get the spinner going freely around the 'eight'

and some finishing touches with the moon and earth

and decorated the inside with the offcuts

and my very first video !

Happy New Year !

I used lots of snippets of card paper and sequins, so I'm
off to play in the Snippets Playground.....
where there's another fantastic prize on offer!

Welsh cake

It's one of my Great Nephew's Birthday, they live in North Wales,
but luckily speak both languages, because I confess I struggle with welsh.

The colour in the photo is rubbish...its actually a lovely tartan,
with a gold stitched frame and a gold 'winked' cake,
(wink of stella)
and that cable knit embossing folder.

It was simple, due to shortage of time, but I decorated inside and envelope.
They all play golf, so it was meant to look a bit golf jumper like.....

Swirly Boats

This was a recent class,
using Swirly Scribbles and Swirly Bird

Made a stencil from vellum, and sponges and splatted ink.
Great fun!!!!!

Stamped and cut/ punched boat and sun.....
added greetings on the 'waves'.

Liked them so much I made some more.....

Then I did a variation......
but you'll have to come back tomorrow!

Endless Birthday Wishes

This post is all about the stamp set from
Stampin' Up! called Endless Birthday Wishes
and this post might seem a bit endless by the time I finish!

If there was only one set you could have on a desert island,
this would be top of my list.....I think......ooooh how could one possibly choose?!

One of my bestie mates used this set,
and I finally bought it recently......
luckily for me too, was an excellent class worksheet
provided by Stampin' Up! for their demonstrators,
which I was able to use recently.

Here's one I made from the instruction sheet....

It's a bit whimsical, and the cake is easy to colour in with marker pens

Or, like Sarn did on this one, just add glitter glue
(I love how she turned down the corner, added a star,
and kept the colours simple)

Or, paper piece like I did here

and as an added extra, I gave my class attendees an
instruction sheet for the pleated paper technique
that seems extremely popular at the moment.

I used glitter tape across the middle,
and some old lurex thread thats really really curly.

If you've managed to stay awake thus far :)........
Some of my class let me take some pictures of the ones they created

Those eagle eyed among you may notice
there's a different cake on some....
A kind friend gave me a cute little wooden cake stamp,
which I use to save people waiting for the one in the set.

I hope you have a peaceful Sunday
and I look forward to having you visit again soon
