Cocktails galore

Hi, hope alls well with you.

It’s been a good summer in the UK, a bit too warm sometimes,

but that’s a good excuse to sit back and relax with maybe a cocktail or three!

I bought the Celebratory Sips designer paper from SU

Cased from Kim Fee
with a stamped and ink blended background

The next one has ink blending onto the paper strip,
giving it a totally different look

I can’t find the artist for this one,
so if you recognise the next photo, please do let me know

Adding ink to the paper strip softens
and creates more contrast to the white card

Have a great weekend, Cheers!

Exclusive, made just for you times two

Oh my goodness, the Notes and Totes Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

has kept me amused for hours….

I used some of their papers, New Horizons and Thoughtful Journey,
Petunia Pop, BlackBerry Bliss card for most of this…

This one uses “woven textures”, and “all about autumn” papers for the bag,
and for the books die, all SU.

I used Snippets of white and snippets of the papers, similar to this for the small pieces,
like the scarf, bottles etc., vellum, black and lots of tiny gold snippets (which I NEVER throw away!)

So I’m taking these to the Snippets Playground challenge #512

Hope you’re having a good weekend

Pretty flowers…

 Hello, how are you today?

I’m sharing some pretty things today, sparked by a couple of challenges,

and the need to stock up on cards, as I’m struggling to keep up at the moment.

I got out a favourite…..Layers of Beauty, from Stampin’ Up!

I have the bundle of stamps, stencils and dies, making it very versatile,

and relatively quick and easy. Or it would be if I didn’t keep going wrong.🙄

Do you ever get those days?!

Here’s number one

I partially die cut the topper, and used papers for the background.
I used lots of paper snippets today, so I’m taking this to the

Here’s some of my snippets…

Number two….

I die cut the roses, and added some more paper backgrounds

Allsorts Challenge 828 asks for pretty flowers, so I’m taking this over to there.

And lastly….

Number three

Not sure about this one, the Calypso Coral is quite dark,
but again I used paper snippets.
Edited to add this card to the Stamping Sensations challenge for summer flowers
(Thank you Brenda)

I hope you’re having a good weekend,
hopefully I’ll be back soon

Sailing by the beach

Today’s card is a combination of stamps and die cuts,

using Sunrise sailing, Notes & Totes, and beach day die cuts, all from Stampin’ Up!

The “sand” is cut from DSP, the sea is pool party card stamped with some waves.
There is a small array of  sun protection , and a collection of shells.
I never go to the beach without both 😃🕶️🐚🧴

I’m taking this over to….
We love stamping: sun, sea, sand
Stamping sensations : anything goes

Have a great day

Big and Bold Snow

 Hello again,

We have some relief from the hot weather, and the garden is glad we had some rain too!

I have another Christmas card today, using Uniko Big and Bold Snow

I stamped the background in three blue colours (one or two are a green blue),
mounted it onto navy card then onto white base card.
I love the bold sentiments…..dashing stamped in navy, mounted onto navy card.
Snow outline also navy, the inner blended with the same inks as before.

I’m entering the following:

UNIKO has a fabulous challenge, with some great giveaways.

NBUS, #76 as I’ve not used this set before, even though I’ve had it a while.

Christmas kickstart #100, “round”, hoping snowflakes fit, but I’ve also added three round gems.

12 months of Christmas, anything goes

Die Cuts for Darnell

Hi there, yes I’m back sooner than normal, and that’s because I do,

at long last, have a card for Darnell’s Die week HERE

I confess this one has a stamped silhouette, but the rest is die cuts…..

However, this next one is all die cuts!

…….except the sentiment 😂, so I hope that’s ok.

Here’s a pic of both, and I actually made 7 more for the Christmas box yippee!

So, I’m entering Darnell’s Diecut week at djkardkreations

and, Cut it up challenge #334, which is Christmas

So do pop and visit both for lots of inspiration.
I love Christmas in July to spur me on!

Darn it, I forgot to say that the silhouette stamp was a prize from the Snippets Playground,
and, it’s the first time I’ve used it, so I can also visit myNBUS too….
See you over there!
Have a great day

Joyful Holly trio trial

Hi there, it’s Christmas in July, and phew it’s hot here, but it’s a great time to get ahead..

I saw a sketch challenge, then a one layer, and finally colouring.
Here’s what happened…

Stamped and embossed with gold powder.
First up coloured with SU Blends

Second is LuminArte….in my very old stash

Lastly, pencils and blender pen

I did the LuminArte first, and I wasn’t happy, so I tried pencils with a blender pen,
(blend to even out the lines, except again I wasn’t happy.)
I thought my favourite was the Blends, but when I looked again,
I like the sheen of the LuminArte, so I just need more practice!

Finally I added red rhinestones.

Because I think it’s the neatest, I’m taking the Blends one to the following challenges…

ABC Christmas  One layer

Addicted to stamps #496 (make your mark, colouring)

CAS on Sunday #313 (Christmas)

Lil red wagon #815 (Christmas)

Have a peaceful Sunday

Bees & Bunny Tag-along and ATC’s

Hi there, today I’m sharing an ATC using an old Penny Black stamp,

and I’ll take it to the Tag-along and ATC’s challenge (in the garden)

And  Pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge (Penny Black AG /water)

It’s would also suit a child, (or AG) so I’ll also enter the Allsorts challenge #827

I think it’s a cute stamp that I will use again for a card.

It’s obviously a lovely sunny day, with the bees dancing around the summer flowers,
so it’s also ideal for Stamping sensations and We love stamping

I used a blending brush for the sky around the image,

then used a sharpie pen to edge a border in blue.

I just coloured it with blend pens, much like the picture on the wooden stamp.
I love how they help us with this guide to colouring, something we don’t get with most stamps these days.

Have a good weekend

Strawberries and ice lollies

I’ve been playing with the SU Celebratory Sips designer paper.

There are so many wonderful ideas out there, and I love finding alternative ways to use things.

You may be thinking what’s this got to do with the cocktails on the paper?!

One of the sheets is of coloured squares and rectangles.

Some crafters have used them as backgrounds,

but I had some fruity stamp sets out on my desk to go with the paper,

this stamp set and punch is SU Sweet Strawberry.

(CARD 1)

As I don’t have the Sips bundle, I thought 🤔 hmmm…..

I could stamp (the outline) and punch strawberries out of the reddish squares….

I used scrap paper to attach a “handle”, to get it into the punch.

I’d seen a design by Tami White…..

Hence I cased it!
I stamped and punched the flowers and leaves, using ink blending and a bigger stamp for the background.

It is Wimbledon week, so you have to have strawberries don’t you!

Then I saw another card, unrelated to cocktails again, with an ice lolly design, byDenise Morgans,

and came up with this, using those rectangles and an arch die from SU…
CARD 2

I used a small sentiment die from The Greetery, “Sentiment Suite” Basic, for the sticks.
The “drips” are from SU Notes & Totes, to which I applied gloss

I used lots of snippets for both cards,
so I’m popping over to the Snippets Playground Challenge #510

I’m also entering the following:
Inkspirational challenge #345 (3 of the same, card 1)
Allsorts #827 (for a child or AG, card 2)
Inspired by #summer photo (summer strawberries and reds in the photo card 1)

I’ll be back soon to share some cocktails 🍸🍹😃
