Strawberries and ice lollies

I’ve been playing with the SU Celebratory Sips designer paper.

There are so many wonderful ideas out there, and I love finding alternative ways to use things.

You may be thinking what’s this got to do with the cocktails on the paper?!

One of the sheets is of coloured squares and rectangles.

Some crafters have used them as backgrounds,

but I had some fruity stamp sets out on my desk to go with the paper,

this stamp set and punch is SU Sweet Strawberry.

(CARD 1)

As I don’t have the Sips bundle, I thought 🤔 hmmm…..

I could stamp (the outline) and punch strawberries out of the reddish squares….

I used scrap paper to attach a “handle”, to get it into the punch.

I’d seen a design by Tami White…..

Hence I cased it!
I stamped and punched the flowers and leaves, using ink blending and a bigger stamp for the background.

It is Wimbledon week, so you have to have strawberries don’t you!

Then I saw another card, unrelated to cocktails again, with an ice lolly design, byDenise Morgans,

and came up with this, using those rectangles and an arch die from SU…
CARD 2

I used a small sentiment die from The Greetery, “Sentiment Suite” Basic, for the sticks.
The “drips” are from SU Notes & Totes, to which I applied gloss

I used lots of snippets for both cards,
so I’m popping over to the Snippets Playground Challenge #510

I’m also entering the following:
Inkspirational challenge #345 (3 of the same, card 1)
Allsorts #827 (for a child or AG, card 2)
Inspired by #summer photo (summer strawberries and reds in the photo card 1)

I’ll be back soon to share some cocktails 🍸🍹😃

Thanks for taking the time to visit, and I really appreciate your comments

Take care and see you soon

  10. Hi Lesley
Brilliant makes .. .. and I love your colour choices too!
I love strawberries and bought some today to have with ice cream later. I also bought a box of ice lollies to share with the residents who were catching the sun's rays in the garden where my Mum lives. Thankfully everyone wasn't out there or I would have run out LOL!!!
Have a good weekend when it arrives.
    Love and hugs
