Flowering Fields

A little thank you to one of my customers

using one of the free gifts from sale-a-bration

used masking tape, a blending brush and ink,

stamped and coloured the flowers.

It's a one layer card, and the edges looked a bit naff,

so I added some more ink around the corner edges.

Next time I would add a masked border

to avoid the rough inked edges.

Hiya

I'm back with Sky is the Limit

....take 2.....

Similar to the one I shared Tuesday,

but this time I used Stampin' Up! ink pads

and an 'Aquapainter' ( waterbrush ).

I felt it was missing something, so added some clouds

Do you have a favourite?

The Sky is the Limit

Warning:

you may need your sunglasses for this one!

I inked some daffodil delight yellow where I wanted the 'sun',

stamped and embossed the sunburst,

then did a water wash before adding some brusho paints.

The paints are a powder, but they spread and blend with the water.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment and  airplane, 

the 'vapour trail' being a happy accident.

Hopefully you can also see the way it's enhanced

 by matting and layering onto black,

a trick I learnt from Eileen Godwin and Sarn.

This was for a very special young man

who has made the whole family very proud,

passing his basic training.

I think we're in for a wet and windy day tomorrow,

so make sure you keep warm and dry.

Botanical Builder Framelits helped me make the daffodils

I put two small flowers together to make the central 'trumpet'

Used some die cut leaves from the border to make 'buds'

used the Botanicals stamps to make the inserts

Window voile

Morning!

Whooshing by to share a recent make 

using a window die, bird punch for branches,

and some small flowers,

but the best bit was a friend's idea to use that lush ribbon

'dotted lace trim'

as the voile......love it !
