Here's a card I made using Collage Curios.

I love how it co-ordinates perfectly with Up, Up and Away,

creating the little balloons in the background, and the cute banner on the greeting.
Colours Island Indigo, Calypso Coral.

I was soooo happy that I had a delivery in time to play with a stamp I've been absolutely longing for...
Swallowtail, need I say more?! What's not to like?!
I used the new Pool Party Embossing Powder, new Bitty Butterfly Punch,
a single rose from the new Flower Trim, and a new Paper Doily.
Colours Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla.

Elegant Butterfly

This was for a lovely lady at the Lace group I go to.....

I tied some ribbon around to make the 'antenna', and used lots of layers using various punches.

Colours:  Pool Party, Calypso Coral.

Lattice embossing folder, Beautiful Butterflies die, Elegant Butterfly punch, Scallop Trim Border punch,

Scallop Oval punch, Large Oval punch.

And a few Rhinestones of course!

Crosswords!

The new seasonal catalogue has a fab new stamp set that I just have to have!

But I couldn't even wait for it!

I decided to have a go at making one by hand,

and it took me absolutely ages!

It might look simple, but trust me, it would be much easier with the stamp set!

I could tell you how....but it's all a secret....for now!

challenge #25

So, have you got snow? We have quite a bit, so I gritted our steep drive, and my better half managed to get home from work early, thank goodness.

I had another go at a Paper Crew Challenge (#25)

hopefully this link will take you there.

I decided on a valentine theme this time, but tried to make it masculine rather than too girly.

I just love the postage stamp punch, and have a lot of the 'itty bitty' family.

See how the mini ones fit the bigger one perfectly!

Great for layering up.

Here's a close-up of the detail.

Colours: melon mambo, basic grey, old olive

Stamp sets: lovely little labels, my little valentine, collage curios
Punches: little labels, itty bitty shapes, postage stamp, 1 inch square

Get on yer bike!

Masculine cards are so much harder aren't they?

This motorbike is sadly retired, but maybe it'll make a comeback.

The background uses the open sea.

The greeting is from bring on the cake, ("not just a year older.....but a year better")

and I punched the holes around the bike with the essentials paper-piercing pack.

Here's one I made for a very special lady....

It's very 'busy' I know!

I do get carried away, and want to keep adding 'stuff'- sorry, I can't help myself!

I love these papers, and the matching brad.

I used cupcake builder and curly label punch,  and designer frames embossing folder.

I used gold glimmer paper for the 'candle', and the 3 extra 'brads'.

I also added crystal effects to the cake 'sweets'.

How to send a voice message:

2. Adhere the message tag to your card or gift.
3. Open TalkingTag™ App and scan the code.
4. Record your message (recording starts immediately, so make sure you’re ready!).

You will have the opportunity to listen, re-record, cancel, or confirm your message after you’ve completed recording it. Each label allows up to 60 seconds of a greeting, song, or product message.

Team Challenge

Here's another in-team challenge.

This week's layout did not inspire me at all, BUT I actually liked how it turned out.

Just goes to show there's no telling how a project will end up,

and how often it's not what you had in mind at all!

The challenge is one found on JKCards.wordpress.com, and it's actually originally a

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge (#24)......bit of a mouthful!

This one's on confetti white card (similar to neutrals), using Everyday Enchantment DSP.

My Sock Bouquet

I thought you might like to see the bouquet I got for xmas....

Nestled among the white rosebuds are socks!

Such a clever fab idea, and I had fun dismantling it and seeing how it was done.

My Nephew 'T' is growing up fast, and so I wanted to make a more grown-up card.....

Oh well, I did try, but was running out of steam after all the xmas cards I made!

Paper Layers

I had another go at one of JK Cards challenges...

decided to try it all in Designer Series Paper layers

(of which, I have far too much!)

I did ink around all the paper edges, but methinks it needs a little work...

although I do love these papers.

The punched border uses the Scallop Trim punch,

and the sentiment is from Bring on the Cake...

(so many sentiments in one set, and such good value)

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you've all survived the festivities?

I've been lucky enough to have shared a relaxing time with Alan,

until he goes back to work on Monday.

I know a lot of you have been busy, and some have had to work,

but I hope you've had a lovely time whatever you got up to.
