Firstly, apologies for not visiting your blog lately.
I'm very 'time challenged' at the mo.
I WILL catch up sometime soon, promise!
I went to a fab workshop recently with Eileen Godwin.
What a fantastic fun teacher she is!
I'm itching to show you what we got up to,
but for now, here's a background I made using cling film....
I think I might have then taken a second print from the same sheet
(my memory is challenged too!)
This makes it slightly paler.
I then stamped with black archival ink on glossy card.
I slipped a bit, but it made a little shadow that I actually liked,
around the birds and branch, so I didn't bin it!
I only wish I'd chosen a different sentiment,
but was in a rush as usual to get it in the post!
It actually shimmers in the light,
but I won't be surprised if my friend
thought it was a bit mad!
I have a thing about cards arriving on the day.....
it's not the same if it arrives later....
or is that just me?!
Happy Wednesday!

Nope, I'm with you .... I would far rather my cards arrive early than late!
ReplyDeleteYour cling film experiment is just fab and the finished card is great too

Super cling film background Lesley. I prefer my cards to be early or on the day. LATE is not an option!
ReplyDeleteGreat silhouette stamp on the background. Love this.

I try to get things out in time!!!!! Your "playing" with the clingfilm technique has certainly produced some great backgrounds xxx Jan xx
