Golden Wedding

I find commissions very difficult.
I know that people often have very different expectations,
and a picture in their mind...

I'm also limited to the materials I have to hand,
and contrary to some peoples beliefs,
I don't have 'everything'!

This however, was made with lots of love,
for a very lovely couple......

She loves the church (of which I had nothing),
so I took their wedding photo,
added gold embossed hearts, and edged it too to match...

Added crochet trim, gold ribbbon, and those flowers.

Happy Anniversary
lots of love

Kinda Eclectic

Goodness me, even I was amazed how quickly you can make a card,
given the right ingredients, such as this stamp set!
Three inks, a butterfly punch, done!

Thanks for looking
hope your week is going well

.....forever

Here's a springy diamond

I used a square punch to make four tiles

Stamped a collage style three times.
Background, tiles and base.

Tried to prove it folds flat....
needed a finger to hold it though!

Another one tomorrow....

Diamonds are forever

Here's a collection of diamond fold cards I made recently.
All stamped with The Open Sea.

I designed them all in inches,
and all to fit in a standard envelope.

 Here's the first

They all fold flat for easy postage too.

I hope you'll pop by tomorrow for more

Thank You

I hope you don't mind me sharing another Sarn special...
I just love her cards!

This has some Gorgeous Grunge,
with some lovely inkyness going on.

I think the butterfly's dots are made with some enamel,
that comes in little bottles like perfect pearls and stickles.

Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday!

lots of love

postal swap

So, those same backgrounds...
picked another....
knew it would look good with crsip canteloupe...

Stamped in black and clear embossed again.
Was going for a tiled look,
ended up discarding one rectangle, it was too much,
added a butterfly again instead to fill the void.

Was experimenting, but might plan layout better next time.
Shame the true colours don't shine through.
Used Best of Flowers and World of Dreams.

Life's a bit of a challenge lately,
so posts are short and sweet,
but lots to share,
and I really appreciate you dropping by.....

Have a good week

Bloomin Birthday

Had a play at faux mother of pearl technique....
made some backgrounds....
what to do....

Here's one of them...
layered it on black...a tip from Eileen and Sarn..
happened to have some bermuda bay card on the desk....
that'll make a nice base.

Did some heat embossing with black ink,
chopped it up,
punched a butterfly from the left overs.

Looks far better in real life.

Have a Super Sunday

Forever Circle of Friends

I borrowed this stamp from that same friend,
so that I could make this one to give her from our whole group

I wrote 'circle of friends' around the 'for you',
not something I'd be brave enough to do normally,
(don't know what came over me?!)

Some colouring in with the 'blendibobs',
and a bit of decoupage.
I slipped the ribbon under the two circles,
so I could tie it in a bow.

Here's the two bears together

Happy Sunday

Golden Wedding

A special couple celebrate 50 years together today

Here's what I made them....

Lots of gold embossing, some vellum,
and that lush gold ribbon, yum

I tried to photograph in different light,
as the weather's been a bit.....dull....
but this one went a bit wonky!

Have a wonderful weekend

Thank you

Life has been a bit challenging of late,
so there's nothing nicer than getting some happy post,
and there's not much nicer than this....

I'd bought our Everyday Occasions Card Kit
for a present, knowing that it was a tad old for her,
but knowing her Mum and Nan would help her.

This is one of her masterpieces....
she's only FOUR years old!
Maybe she had a little help,
but I'm impressed!

Happy Friday!

my never ending card,
 that never ceases to amaze,
and never got finished properly....yet!

I hope your week is going ok....

Forever friends

I had to borrow this stamp from the friend for whom I made the card!
I don't have teddies, and she just loves teddies!

I used my SU blendibobs.....as they are now nicknamed!
The skin tone blender pens are just perfect for teddies.

Oval framelits helped me,
and I tied twine around some glimmer paper.
Spot the rhinestone?
I have a new wink of stella, that was supposed to be 'clear'.
I put a big splodge accidentally on the teeny tiny flower,
the ink was silvery and obliterated said flower,
hence the rhinestone to cover it up!
See....I'm always honest!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Curvy Keepsake

I used the same process as yesterday to make these tags,
except I just cut them out, making them smaller.
I then made the Curvy Keepsake box
(this is sooooo cute, and soooo easy!)
and added the bow in some newly acquired lush satin silver ribbon.

Here's a cluster of boxes
I can never get two bows the same
can you?!

Have a magnificent Monday!
