Emboss Resist Technique

I have really enjoyed sharing the Emboss Resist Technique.

Fortunately Stampin' Up! supplied us with a ready made embossed base
to do all sorts of inking techniques on.

Here's an example I posted a little while ago

here's the link to that post if you would like a reminder.

I really enjoyed doing a  workshop at High Halden Craft Club,
they all came up with different ideas,
and I promised to post the sample cards here,
so that they could use them as a reminder and inspiration:

sponging with different colours

using water based marker pens to ink the multi coloured stripes

creating an 'ombre' effect with different shades of one colour

inking the background, then adding shading around the leaves

multi coloured sponged stripes

simple inking with one colour

inked and stamped over the top with little candles

another inked and stamped example

stamping and smudging the wet ink

multi coloured cut into panels

'ombre' effect by inking from one edge, graduating to the lighter opposite edge.

I hope you have enjoyed looking, as much as I've enjoyed sharing....
Have an excellent week

  5. These are all great! They make me want to rush home and play with SU stuff, especially all the papers. I'm sure the boss won't mind if I leave right now! ;-)
