I would highly recommend a cup (or glass!) of something before you look at this post!
(I might need one....or two....myself by the time I've written it!)
Today's showcase is the Merry Tags, Merriest Wishes Bundle
available soon from the new winter catalogue...
To begin, I die cut a few framelits in different coloured cardstock
so I could show you a couple of different ways of layering them up
Starting with the base embossed layer in white, on the left,
add the crumb cake layer,
on foam pads to add dimension,
cut away the deer from the emerald envy and add,
then cut away the deer and trees from the final white layer,
representing snow.
Be careful with the antlers as they are quite detailed.
For the next tag, silver glimmer paper for the base,
add the white layer, then add the trimmed deer and trees on top.
You can use them as tags or card toppers
love the snow stamp, and added some glitter
slightly offset the top layer, so it looked snow on the trees,
and added some emerald envy ribbon
--------------
I love how it fits with the Joyful Nativity stamp set!
I die cut a bauble frame, then carefully cut away the bauble bits, to leave a circular frame.
(granted you could use circle thinlits if there's one to fit)
sorry for the poor pic, but this is layered up on foam pads
like the very first example
Here's one using another bauble in the set,
which could be used for anniversaries or special birthdays
again I LOVE the 'snow' stamp!
Possibly my favourite, and so simple, is the little tree bauble
The white is layered onto green with dimensionals (foam pads)
the green one is laid onto white, flat,
the red one is made from the 'waste'!
Added the circle sentiment, which I found REALLY easy to line up afterwards,
although you could stamp it before you cut
like the sentiment below, small, simple and beautifully formed
Phew!
I made it to the end, and hope you did too?!
Again I have not spent hours in the craft room,
they were quick and easy to put together,
just what you need when making xmas cards!
I also used only some of the elements again as well,
which shows how even more versatile these sets are.
I hope you are enjoying the weekend,
it's a longer bank holiday one here in the UK,
so let's hope the weather holds :)
