Shake a balloon

Hi there
sharing another shaker card,
this time with a small shaker element...

It has another bubble-blown back ground, a Happy Birthday die cut twice,
from blue and black, offset to form a shadow

With a balloon forming the shaker element, full of stars.

Shaker card Mermaid

Hi there, long time no see!

My time management has gone to plot lately,
just not been coping, with everything just piling up.
Does this ever happen to you?
It can only get better........a friend's favourite phrase is
"this too shall pass".

So yesterday, having had a leak, family of mice, and a local jumble sale,
I spent the day clearing out the loft!
We have a huge loft, all too easy to "just put it up there for now"
But no more! ( that's the plan anyway :)
I feel better already.

So, less waffling and here's the card....
Large A5, cut circle aperture, with a fun background.....
We did a class blowing bubbles!
drop of water + drop of washing up liquid + drop of dark ink in a cup, blow with straw
(please don't suck!!!)
let bubbles almost overflow, gently lay card on bubbles,
repeat, allow to dry.
So much fun!

Also did the "partially-cut-image-stick -die-under-it-so-it-doesn't-cut thing ?!
see above......not totally successful.
Had to cut into her a bit more than wanted to, and die left a bit of a ridge,
but heck, who's looking?!

Stuck a star on background just above her hand before assembling,
trying not to leave glue exposed
(class had her holding a clump of stars because "someone who should have been
teaching" didn't warn them about this bit )

Filled the shaker with more stars.
Added a few more onto card front.

This needed a large stamp for postage, and I was very cross it was received like this....!
Someone was disappointed with the contents!
I didn't like to ask if the card was intact......but hope it was and hope she liked it.
Can you see my attempt to black out the address?
I probably won't be much good at drawing with a computer!

Have a good weekend

So Hoppy Together

Hoppy Weekend everyone
I made a pop-up-and-twist card using this cute funny set,
So Hoppy Together.
I stamped and fussy cut most elements, coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen.

Can you see the googly eyed bees/flies?
More Than Words stamp set provided the sentiments,
using a marker pen to pick out some individual words to make the phrases I wanted.

The "wishes" is a two-step stamp so you can add shading with a different colour

I used Designer Series Papers for the backgrounds, and so am entering this challenge:

O Christmas Tree

Hello
It's high time I made some more xmas cards, and saw this easy challenge:

Challenge 431:

anything goes as long as it's Christmas
optional theme: include a star or two or more

I've been trying to find time to use a stamp set kindly given to me by a friend.
It made me get out some old pens, and use a simple design.

I used SU Stitched Rectangles to make a frame, adhered to a blank card set edged with silver foil,
coloured in some elements, and added WOS.

Decided after to use some Crystal Effects to add some dimension and added shine,
an idea from another friends blog HERE.
