Blue Baby Bear

Hello there

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Popping by to share a birthday card using Stampin' Up! Baby Bear,

the stamp which is a few years old now.

Its a 3 layer stamp set, building up to lots of depth and texture.

Using 3 colour inks  gives shading making it very realistic.

I made it for a friend who likes blue and bling,

so I added glimmer paper, and sequins too.

I also added that lovely satin and chiffon ribbon.

More or less Fairy magic

Hi there

Continuing on from yesterday.....

...in so far as I made a card for the same friend who supplied yesterdays project.

She loves this kind of thing, whereas it's something I don't get much time for.

However this was easy peasy lemon squeezy!

All it took was a background paper from a craft fair earlier this year,

and a stamp from the same place.

I put the fairy in my Stamparatus, and made her nice and black by repeat stamping with memento ink.

I then added a touch of magic glitter from her wand, following the swirls on the paper background.

Mounted it up et voila!

Hence the more fairy magic, but much less thrown at it :)

She also loves a big card, so I'm hoping she might upcycle this one.

You can see in the bottom picture how good she is with fairies and bling.

She made it for my birthday earlier in the year.

It has loads of extra detail as I hope you can see.

We're starting the day with eggs from a friends chickens...yummy.

Fairy magic

Hi there

I hope this finds you well.

I'm here with something a bit different today,

as it's a project shared by a friend recently.

Top right is a 3-D paper picture frame, with lots of die cuts and embellishments added.

Top left is a card made with the left over  bits.

Above is a close up of the card.

Below a close up of the cute robin

This project was way out of my comfort zone,

but I enjoyed doing something a bit different.

Feels Like Frost Purple Posy

Hello again,

I've a different card this time but using the same papers.

I love this die cut frame, I've used it such a lot recently.

I showed class how to glitter the paper scene, by dabbing versamark over,

adding heat and stick powder, followed by dazzling diamonds glitter.

By heating the powdered glue, you can add anything like glitter, microbeads etc.  

One of my ladies said you could achieve a similar effect using adhesive sheets,

but I find the powder easier, as I struggle sticking the sheet in place.

A simple sentiment, and another card for the box!

Feels Like Frost for the boys

Hello

continuing with these lovely papers, I discovered some of the designs

worked well for male cards......what do you think?

Using the same fancy fold inspired by stampyourartout,

I think it looks a bit like wheat, covered with lovely water droplets,

which lend themselves to glossy accents or clear epoxy embellishments.

I added gold leaves this time, using some old brushed gold cardstock.

Go on, enjoy the little things!

Feels Like Frost Slimline

Hello

I had some Stampin' Up! Narrow Notecards, and thought they'd be great for using

scraps of this lovely paper, that were left over from the fancy fold ones.

Waste not want not as they say! Too good to throw away...

I added a snippet of ribbon and a little die cut...

this one had 3 flower stems that echo the picture, and a fussy cut flower from the other side of the paper (SU ones are always double sided and a nice quality too)

lastly a simple snowflake.

Sorry the pics don't do the paper justice...much better in real life!

Feels Like Frost

Hi there

It's feeling frosty here.....

I got this idea from Stampyourartout

I really like the way it enables you to keep a 6 x 6 paper scene almost complete.

It doesn't look like it yet does it?!

Above, you can see how it opens out to reveal the whole scene.

It works very well with the lovely Feels Like Frost papers

and can be enhanced by adding lots of our new Stampin' Up! chunky glitter!

I actually changed the measurements, to make a standard UK size card,

for my class, so they could replicate it at home,

but you can adapt it however you like.

These papers are gorgeous in real life.

My poor photo skills do not do it justice at all !
